I am still struggling to figure out how to use this brush on my wavy , thick Indian hair .. it gets hot pretty fast , and I can feel the heat on my scalp too. And this brush is heavy

Best purchase all year!

Oh, the time this gorgeous gadget saves me! Wish I had bought it years ago. I used to spend an eternity carefully blow drying my long, thick, frizzy, curly-ish hair. I dreaded washing it because it took so long standing there, even with a good $ blow dryer. Now, I can let my hair dry however I want—favorite is with the Jeep open and the wind blowing through it. Then, when it’s all frizzed out and mostly dry, I brush out the tangles with a regular detangling brush and run this heated brush through and my hair looks amazing! When it’s hot and humid (Florida, ugh!), I put some anti-frizz serum in my damp hair for extra staying power. Even the cheap stuff in the greenish pump bottle leaves my hair “sleek and shiny” until I wash it again. I read someone complain that there is just one heat setting and it does not get as hot as some brushes. I honestly can’t imagine wanting it hotter for fear I would seriously damage my hair. Works great the way it is. Love it!

Not for shorter hair

I desperately wanted to like this and hoped it would save me time drying and the flat-ironing my hair. Nope. It is way too big to do a good job with straightening shorter hair. It also weighs a ton, pulled my hair and has only one scorchingly hot setting. This isn't for drying hair, per se, which I knew but hoped to be able to air dry my hair and then style with this brush, All in all, I can see how it might work for long hair but definitely not for me. It seems well made but I don't know if it that justifies the 5-10 times the price of other hot brushes.

My new “can’t live without” tool

I’ve never been one to use a flat iron so I’ve opted for keratin treatments 2-3 times a year. But I still needed something for smoothing frizzy neckline hair or straightening out wrinkles. I picked the GHD Glide because it leaves a shine on the hair and it doesn’t make your hair completely flat and shapeless. This is easy to control and the fact that it has only one temperature means I can’t over do it and fry my hair. Needless to say, I am loving this tool. I think I will even be able to use less keratin treatments in the future. For reference I have thick coarse hair. It’s not wavy or curly in the pretty way, it’s more frizzy and unruly. But with this tool it’s sleek smooth and straight with a nice bend at the end.

Impressive!

I normally go to a salon for a relaxer, but due to the pandemic, I had to find an alternative. For years I had used a straightening comb, but just couldn’t get over my fear of burning myself (instilled by my mother, who always nicked me with hot tools in my youth). I have to admit I was skeptical about how good straightening brush could be but after researching online articles and reviews, I decided to buy this GHD. WOW!!! The results are better than I expected! My kinky hair is almost completely straight; much better than the results I got with my old straightening comb because I can get the brush on my roots! No burned scalp, fingers or ears! There are less expensive brushes out there but I believe you get what you pay for. This is a very well-made product. Will this replace the salon? No. Will this replace my straightening comb? Absolutely! All you curly girls, if you’re in the same boat as me, I highly recommend this comb for easy straightening at home.

Regret buying this

If you already have naturally straight hair it would work well. For those with more curly hair, you cannot use this in place of the good-old ghd flat iron. This works best for day 2 touch-ups

Amazing!

I am in love with this brush!! I’ve always used a flat iron to straighten my hair but have grown tired of spending almost an hour on it (I have thick, curly, coarse hair and if I don’t do anything with it, it becomes a big frizzy mess). So I looked into these brushes and this one had the best reviews. After using it, I can see why! I have now cut down my hair straightening time to only 10 MINUTES!! I didn’t think it would work this well. It is definitely a game changer and so well worth the money. **I will have to update my review with before/after photos, as I forgot to take them when I first tried it out.

Like magic!

I have baby fine 2B/3A hair cut to chin length and this brush works like magic on my hair. I usually blow dry with a round brush and get great results but I wasn't happy with that for 2 reasons: 1. I feel like doing that every time I wash my hair is too harsh and 2. I have to immediately dry my hair after washing in order to have it obey. With this brush, I air dry my hair and only use the brush if the curls don't look very good or if I decide I want a straight look. I never liked the look a flat iron gave me--it made my hair too flat, whereas this gives it a little bit of volume. It is so easy to use and so quick that I may never blow dry again!

The best I have ever used!! Love this brush!

I have very fuzzy hair!!!!! I have used so many products and just about every type of straightening brush - hot air brush and straightening iron- also have used relaxers in the past. Non has worked very good because of the fuss that I deal with and my hair is very dry (make sure you use a good heat protector though). This has made me look like I have straighter hair and looks so natural and healthy. The best I have ever used. Life is going to be so much easier for sure- wish I found this years ago. Going to stop looking for the best-I have found it!!!! Thanks so much for such a great product!!

Simplemente genial

Es muy práctico, la mitad de tiempo que me lleva hacerlo con una plancha. Además te deja brillante el cabello. Solo verifica que lo estes usando de la forma correcta. Debes ocupar un protector de calor, y usarlo no como un cepillo normal, pues al principio lo usé así y me decepcioné, pues lo estaba usando como si me peinara como de costumbre, y pensaba que no servía, pero era porque no lo estaba usando de la forma correcta, permite que la placa de calor toque el cabello de adentro hacia afuera. Las cerdas no te queman ni el cuero cabelludo, menos tus dedos o mano. Esta genial, estoy feliz por la compra y SÍ FUNCIONA, pues te deja un alaciado súper natural y no te maltrata las puntas como otros cepillos más baratos. Si deseas estilizar tu peinado con ondas solo usa la plancha o tenaza para hacerlo, pero si te ahorra mucho mucho tiempo. Si lo recomiendo, para personas con el cabello chino, ondulado, como yo lo tengo.

Do not hesitate this purchase! If you have layers, this is a great blow-out style for an effortless, volumeous look. The heat setting adjusts the temperature automatically. This heating tool is meant for DRY hair. The best purchase I've made on Amazon to date.

LIFE CHANGING

Absolutely life changing!!! I have used the GHD flat iron for years and I absolutely love it, but I only use it 2x a week maximum because of how damaging it can be to my hair. This product, however, is phenomenal. I can use it every day as it is so much less damaging and it will tame your frizzy hair! I’d go as far as to say this product has given me a new lease of life because I don’t need to rock my naturally frizzy hair anymore for the sake of not damaging my hair. It of course won’t make your hair lay as flat as with a flat iron, but regardless, I would recommend this product to ANYONE!

Works Fast

I have very curly/frizzy hair that is fine. It takes me 45 minutes to straighten my hair if I do it in sections using a good straightening wand. It takes me 4 -5 minutes to brush my (dry) hair straight using this brush. I can spend another 3 minutes touching up nape and temple short bits with the straightening iron. The brush has changed my life. Making curls look good takes effort. I don't have time for hair-related effort so I used to just wear my curly hair in a bun all the time. Now I can wear long hair. I don't think this brush would work for short curly hair. You need length of hair to 'drag' through the brush.
