back of scale/battery window broken

I loved this thing until the battery finally ran low and i turned it over to change it only to see that where the battery is housed is broken and impossible to get the battery out without breaking the scale further. Tried to find something on the internet to help me figure out what batteries are needed and how to troubleshoot and there's nothing from the company.

Exceeded my expectations

I had an older Escali scale with mechanical buttons that stopped working after a few years, this one is much nicer, electronic controls, much thinner and slicker, very happy so far.

GORGEOUS ADDTION TO MY KITCHEN WITH EASY READ DISPLAY

I was looking for a kitchen scale with large digits so they can be easily visible in any light condition. This is it! I thin that there are no scale that is better for the purpose. Love the clean sleek design and the beautiful blue lit display. Fantastic scale that is just perfect. Love it and use it every single day many times. So easy to clean, and so easy to use. Comes with Metic sytem and Lbs /oz system with one switch button, and also you got your zero button that allows you to put container first, then push zero so now when you add foods then you only weigh thte foods not the container. really really relaly lovely!!!!

Very happy! No off switch

I'm super happy with how this scale performs and how it looks. I do wish I had the option of an off switch, but it is a very very minor issue for me. The blue backlight is excellent for readability and there is a lot of space to place bowls and cups to weigh out ingredients.

Capacitive buttons are touchy - Scale still performs well

Every kitchen food scale I've owned has these touch sensitive buttons instead of a hard click mechanical button, but these seem particularly sensitive. I find myself bumping them by mistake a lot when moving the scale and accidentally turn it back on or change the units when putting it away. This is probably the most consistent scale I've ever owned, even with my fat fingers pushing buttons when I don't mean to. I have never had an issue taring it or getting an accurate reading of ingredients.

Great product but expensive

Great product (retailed at ~$18)---but I choose to keep the Amazon Basics scale instead. Amazon Basics scale was accurate and cheaper (purchased it for $10.99). I wasn't sure if I would like using Escali since all buttons were on the same level (my baking friend recommended I don't get something like this). I have another Escali scale and like their quality and customer service. However--in the end---I felt the Amazon Basics scale was "just as good" and at a lower price

As a scale it works great, not so much as a diet incentive.

The buttons are just touchscreen, so there isn’t a definitive press to the button, but they do work. The tare function works well, but because of the nature of the soft-touchy buttons, I usually just power it on with my measuring cup on it, which immediately sets to zero before ingredients are added. I love how small and flat it is, easily stored in a spice cabinet. And of course it looks great, easy to clean high gloss surface. I’m sure I’ll be getting fat with my new bread-making hobby with this scale for years to come.

Not like new scale

I bought it since June, alot of it and have my shipping agent send to my country . Found out many of them had scratch mark on and black spot on reading area. It's first time that Escali disappoint me about thier product.

Frustrating

Looks great, nice sleek design but tare is very finicky and there is lots of random drift even after replacing with new batteries. Goes through expensive watch batteries like crazy. Overall very disappointed and am replacing with a different scale.
