This item is perfect when you actually look at your Earthwise weedeater to know which model you have. My husband just kept ordering the wrong ones because he said that he could eyeball it without checking. ...and he thinks he is superior. ???? Honestly it would not have been so bad if that only happened once.????

Just pop it in

So easy to replace and long lasting. I thought the string on my trimmer had run out and got this replacement ready only to find I didn't really need it yet. I use my trimmer is some brutal situations and greatly appreciate that the line feeds automatically. On one occasion however, the line sheared off so close to the reel that I thought it had run out. I got this replacement unpackaged and ready and took the original cartridge out of the trimmer, only to discover that it was still good and I was able to put it right back on. Taking it off however and replacing it showed me how easy this process is. I'm delighted with my trimmer and have this replacement pack ready when I need it, but after much trimming, sometimes in heavy weeds and briers, the original is still going strong. It doesn't seem like much line on the little cartridge, but it really lasts a long time.

Replacement spool

I haven't used yet but I didn't realize I would have to wind it myself so I'm a little nervous about that.

Spool for a trimmer, not a cap cover!

The picture is of cap cover for a trimmer, but the product number matches the spool of plastic thread that sits inside this cap. I was sent the wrong product twice before figuring out that this picture is wrong. I have to give Amazon props for refunding me my purchase and trying to help get this right. I'm sure once I get the right part I'll have spools that work great.

ridiculously expensive for so short a line

The spool is very short. There are also no instructions for loading it, though I think I figured it out. But now the cap is stuck and I can't remove it so when this spool gets used up I guess I need to buy another trimmer!

Fits old weed eater

Can't believe I found this line to fit our older weed eater, a little bit of wiggling and a friend's help, we got it on. Works great!

The plastic cord gets tangled into knots as I use the trimmer and I have to keep stopping to cut a new edge to the cord. It's a pain.
