Absolutely beautiful and stunning rocking horse Christmas decoration!

This Design Tuscano Victorian Christmas Carousel Rocking Horse is beautiful and sturdy, once assembled. It arrived very tightly packed, with the rocker part disconnected from the horse (you attach it via the hooves with included hardware - bolts are already securely attached/installed to the horse with the associated nuts that you will need to use to fasten the rocker on with). Be wary, however, that the nuts to the bolts may come off during shipping - one of them was rolling around in the box and I thought it was missing until I dug around in it and found it, thankfully. (The rest of them were on the bolts about halfway up.) Getting everything attached was fast and easy, and once assembled, it's really stable and solid. The horse is beautiful, with lovely details carved and painted all on it - and the colors are vibrant and festive. Please note that this isn't a little rocking horse at all - it's BIG - as in, pretty much like a full-sized rocking horse over 3 feet long (although it's not meant to be used as such - just decor only). It literally looks just like an old-fashioned horse statue that was taken straight off of a old carousel, and the details are beautiful. It has a purposefully distressed look to make it appear gently well-worn and loved, and it's dressed and decorated perfectly for a gorgeous Victorian Christmas theme. The fiberglass and resin construction is hardy (but not weight bearing), and it makes a beautiful addition to your Christmas decor - as well as making a lovely heirloom to be passed down for future generations of your family. It looks like a well-preserved antique already even though it's brand spanking new. Just make sure you double check those measurements listed on the site and verify that you have the space for this beauty! We absolutely love it - it definitely gets two thumbs up from this household and will be working perfectly with our Christmas decorations very soon! So lovely!

Nice looking and big

This arrives packaged very securely. In the box it is set up with cardboard pieces like a jenga game. Also, plenty of foam padding. Very well protected. You assemble the horse onto the rocker with 4 bolts. Horse is resin and rocker is wooden. Nice large size and very nice looking. The only thing I wasnt too fond of was the whites of the eyes are orange. Not really a big deal because your attention is drawn to the overall horse itself and the decorative aspects, like the saddle etc. It's great for photo prep, too. Will be nice to use for holiday pictures. The toddlers love it and want to climb on it, naturally. It probably could hold their weight for a pic or two, but I would never let them play on it or try and use it like a regular rocking horse - it would break for sure. The horse is hollow resin after all and isnt meant to be used like that. I wiped it down good after I assembled it. It was a little dusty/dirty. Despite the bright orange eyes, I am happy with it and I cant wait to get the rest of our decorations up and see it all together.
