Water not hot? Only warm water? Easy solution! There is an adjuster inside!

Something very important to remember if you are not getting hot enough water. The warm/cold selector knob (the outermost one) pops off and it actually allows you to set it to where you can physically turn it so far as a safety mechanism to prevent water from getting too hot. I battled with this for months wondering why only this shower would not get hot and would always be warm only! You literally just use a flat head screwdriver and carefully pop it off and then adjust the setting on the inside! Hope this helps!

Water spots

I’m disappointed with my recent Delta purchases. Attracted by simple contemporary designs- affordable vs budget, this metal spots. Should come with a can of Sheila Shine as it makes the metal look cheap.

Easily scratched and no etching

Our units don't have any delta marking on the faceplate. All 3 came in delta packaging and ordered at separate times. They are so easily scratched.

Delta monitor 17 valve trim

My control valve trim arrived just as I ordered. I opened it up and inspected everything and it’s all there and good. The wall plate and handles are all die cast chrome plated. Looks to be of nice quality. This stuff has some weight to it. I have read some reviews that people stated for this kind of money they shouldn’t get plastic handles, well yes you get one plastic handle. It’s the temp control handle and the reason it is plastic is because it houses the temp adjustment cam so you can have quick easy access to make changes to water temperature with seasons and water heater adjustments. It also keeps the weight down on the volume control because this is a double stack handle that is all connected to the valve. Bottom line is it’s good quality delta stuff it’s heavy, shiny, and it will last a long time.

High quality control features Looks great.

This is a beautiful unit that works well for multifunction applications. There is though a need for higher water pressures in order for the use of dual functions at one time especially when using a large rain head. The flow becomes weak. This is in spite of using 3/4" pipe to supply it. The inlets are still 1/2". Water psi was between 45 and 55 depending on time of day, on 2nd floor application.

Good product if you can get one without damage

This is a great valve trim, looks good, sturdy, has a nice positive engagement at each setting, quality parts most being solid metal except the temp knob. Only reason I give 4 stars is it took 3 tries to get parts that all didn't have blemishes on them I ended up using some parts from each one to make a complete unblemished set. The QC sucks on the shipping side because the heavy metal parts don't have enough packing on them to keep from damaging themselves or other parts.

Way over priced for what it is.

First of all Delta is just a crappy company. 3 setting and 6 setting are not potions. 3 setting only does two positions (shower head and spout) and 6 setting only does 3 positions (shower head, spout and wand). I had to learn this the hard way. I paid at least double what i should have paid with another manufacturer. Let my mistake be your warnings. I will never buy Delta again.
