Great for an update

We were looking for a shower trim that would match our update Moen bathroom faucets. Unfortunately Moen did not make anything but came across this Delta fixture. It is absolutely beautiful and the functions are easy to use. Would highly recommend if you are looking ot update your bathroom!

Solid product.

Needs better instructions, the instructions for installing the temperature gear piece is hard to follow. I went on line to see if anything better is listed, nothing better. The finish and solid feel of the unit is great.

Amazing all-in-one 3 shower diverter

Yes it is expensive but the engineering and quality is great. I bought 2 for the two bathroom remodels and they are fantastic.

Mixed parts and finishes

Temp control arm is stainless finish and the rest of faucet is in chrome finish. Looks bad!! Now I have to find a chrome arm!!!

High quality, expensive and super confusing

The big brands do not make figuring out what you need to buy easy, but they do make really high quality components with lots of customizability. This includes the trim and internals which sit on/in a universal rough-in that is mounted inside your wall (that rough in is R22000-WS). This includes a three position trim diverter, which means two outlets with a both on option. The rough-in can accept either a 3 position or a 6 position (3 outlets with shared settings). FOR THIS 3 POSITION TRIM IT IS CRUCIAL THAT THE INSTALLER PLUGS THE CORRECT SIDE (RIGHT WHEN FACING IT) OF THE ROUGH IN WHEN INSTALLING. Ours plugged the wrong side, then tiled the shower without function testing. Luckily, its possible to replace the diverter internals with the 6-position guts (RP51919), and now it works, although there are three positions that do nothing. Also since the trim has a red and blue dot, make sure they plumb the hot water into the correct side of the rough-in. Ours did not, so red = cold. They will have to tear out the wall behind the shower to resolve. On to the review of the trim. This trim is beautiful, clean and sophisticated. It is solid, heavy duty metal, with exception of the temperature control which is a high quality plastic. I am not sure why they went this route instead of also making it out of brass, but it is not noticeable or a problem in any way. It is great to be able to fine tune the temperature and then leave it there so it is always where you want it. It is also great to have the diverter housed within the same unit for general cleanliness of the install. The diverter functions nicely with a very smooth action, and a tactilely pleasing detent at each position. This makes swapping between the shower head, and the handheld a very satisfying experience.
