1st try 20inch Sun Joe

Received this product one day ago. Assembly. I did not take to long to assembled it. Took roughly 25mins it was pretty straightforward and simple. Weight. The product weighs just right to press down on lawn and to carry around easily. Test area I did a simple test of my front lawn area of approximately 50 square feet. It took me about 30mins to mooer. Maneuvering The maneuvering wasn't difficult however it I did stick a lot between small twigs and shrubs. When I came up to grass heights 1/4" or more than the selected level it sticks. Ever so often I had to readjust levels because the maneuvering got hard and the blades stuck a lot. If you're okay with adjusting a lot or passing on the same areas couple times this would work well. Suggestion not to get stuck or adjust often start at the middle level make a pass then adjust to suit the lawn or shrubs height you have.

Great size

Love ❤️ my New Reel mower. All I had to assemble was putting the handle on. It was ready to go. Works very well. I would recommend ???? wholeheartedly! This cut makes my rutty, crabby grass look Groomed & even. Thank you! ???? & speedy delivery right to my door. Although could of used a rain- coat that day.

Works alright but I expected better.

This thing is somewhat difficult to use. You need to have some muscle to get the job done, and I'm not just saying that because it's a push mower. Due to the fact that it gets caught up on the slightest of elevation changes in the yard, it really kills your momentum and slows things down. The adjustability on the unit is not very straight forward and either side needs to be done to the same height since they are independent of one another. The wheels rolls well and the unit appears to be well put together. Grass does fly into the bag and that part of the product is very useful. Overall this product would be made a lot better if the user were able to adjust to a greater height in order to clear the average type of yard / grass. As it is, the unit gets stopped up too much to make even a $100 garage sale mower start to seem pretty enticing.

Not what I expected

Product is very loud screeching noise like a car with a broken muffler you can’t bear but wish it could just pass by and be gone. I don’t want to be that neither in the hood. I wanted to keep this but that will mean building another mower that will fill in for what it is missing. Adjusted the blacks clearance against the back plat where it makes the cut.

The grass bag won't work very well because it gets full on the front and doesn't get spread evenly otherwise a perfect lawnmower

Quiet, Good for the environment, Great value and easy to assemble and use

I love that it reduces my carbon footprint and is so easy to assemble and use. The grass catcher bag was also a big draw in deciding which one to purchase. Directions were clear and everything I need was provided. It is also quiet so I can mow any time of day or night and while the dogs are outside and it does not seem to bother them like a traditional mower. It does best on flat yards, the hill is a bit challenging to mow. It also does not really care for the "Water grass", it will get a bit stuck/bogged down perhaps because it is thicker than the rest of the grass in my yard.

3 stars for excellent cardio/workout Only (2 stars, UPDATED)

After waiting a full year, here is my review: I gave 3 stars overall (very generous) for this mower. Obviously, I knew what I was getting into with this reel mower, and it is what it is. I did not want to mess around with oil/gas, the noise, And for that, it gets a couple stars right off the bat. However, where I live in Florida, and the types of weeds that pop up, this mower CANNOT handle even at the highest setting; it simply will not cut them--even newly sharpened Right out of the box either. So, I find myself constantly stopping and plucking the weeds ("carpetgrass" and "crabgrass" and "Dallisgrass")

Does not cut well and very noisy

I have to return this reel mower after 2 to 3 uses. When the product arrived, one of the main wheel has already fallen off in the package. The blades do not cut the whole 20" length no matter how I adjust it. The mower is heavy. Every single time I start using it, it will be screeching for the first minute or so. Like other says, use this only if you have a very flat surface. My lawn was graded to have a some sort of water run off and this mower will not move if I position it a little off level. I ended up purchasing another 16 inch mower and it does the job way better.

Works well under the right conditions

I have cut my yard a few times already with this and overall I am satisfied with it. I got the 20 inch model and it is definitely a work out especially going up an incline. I would only recommend getting a manual mower if your yard is flat and if you don't have any wood chips or other misc. Objects on your property that may get stuck in the mower. I have some wood chips around a tree and every time I accidentally roll over one it jams the mower and I have to reverse the blade to get it out. I would also not bother putting the basket on the back to catch it grass it doesn't work well so I just leave the cut grass on the property afterwards and it decomposes after a week or so. If I could go back I would have got a smaller version as I don't think it would have taken much longer to mow and it would be less strenuous to cut. Also you will need to use a weed wacker around the edges of your property as the wheels get in the way from letting you get right up against any obstacles such as your house.

Love it!!

Arrived early, easy to assemble. I had no problem cutting the grass , it’s fairly easy if you adjust it according to how high your grass is. And continue to adjust and go depending how low you want your grass. It’s a nice workout and it’ doesn’t put out pollution & not loud as regular lawn mowers. I suggest buying this if you don’t have a huge lawn. It’s actually pretty relaxing. You can also use this with or without the grass catcher attachment. I eventually took it off as I felt no need for it as it took up too much time stopping and emptying it. It all depends on your preference. I’ll do an update in a few more weeks. You won’t regret this purchase!

BUEN PRODUCTO

Lo recomiendo, la podadora manual con la bolsa ( es muy util ) de 20 pulgadas, el pasto lo deja bonito, no lo estresa, como si lo hace una desbrosadora que he observado que lo quema. Compren la podadora con la bolsa es sumamente útil, Se vaN ahorrar tiempo en levantar el pasto cortado, una amiga la uso y se va a comprar una de 16 pulgadas. Saludos desde la CDMX.

The good: lightweight and easy to put together. The bad: Under my personal circumstances it does not work at all. Complete waste of money. I am open to the idea it may just be my yard... It is very uneven. However I have a 11 year old push mower of another brand (the one I was replacing with this one, because of it's age, but ended up having to go back to.) that works just fine. Perhaps it needs some adjustments? I have no idea. Would only recommend if you want to take a chance, have a very flat yard with fine grass, or know how to make adjustments to mowers.
