Excellent but a couple tips and something else you really should know
These are very good straps. Durable and quality. Most important the protective rubber piece that covers the cam buckle is effective in protecting your vehicle's metal and glass surfaces. One tip for storage is to coil them more in a large loop rather than a tight circle. This will result in less memory in the strap when you are using it and trying to route it through your kayak carrier openings. Also a broccoli / produce rubber band works well to keep them tidily stored. One thing should really be aware of however is comparing these straps to the other straps from the same brand. These are available on Amazon. Search for: Harmony Gear Deluxe Tie Down.( Priced Each) As of right now you'll save a little money with these. I hope this review helps. Also I would add that shortening straps, such as the 18' to say 12' is as simple as cutting the strap with quality scissors and then sealing the new edge with a lighter. There are several article online on how to do this.

Good straps
Good straps for the kayak. Doesn't crush the kayak like a ratchet strap would. Just make sure you tie off the ends so they can't come loose. Only complaint is it's a little hard to feed the strap through the buckle at first, but once it's in it is good to go.

Good find!
This works well for what I wanted for and protects the car since the buckles are surrounded in rubber. Win! I have the 9 model and it wraps the kayak (Eddyline Sitka XT) around the cross bar per my Thule instructions but it’s a tight fit. It only has maybe 7 or 8 inches of excess strap. That works for me but if the kayaks beam was much wider or the keel much deeper it would be a no go!

They're Perception brand. Perception makes good stuff.
I like them almost as much as my perception kayak! They'll last many years, just like the ones I bought with my kayak, and when they start to wear a little, toss them and get some new ones, they're cheap where an accident on the highway is not.

Works
Goos straps, could be great if it were easier to feed the strap through the locking mechanism. It can be a real pain

Sturdy strap and buckle that holds your kayak down securely.
The bucket is nice and sturdy and the strap is thick and hefty. Gives me a lot of confidence in it's reliability. Like other reviewer said, the strap comes rolled up so the ends are very curly and hard to use right out of the box. But that aside the strap is perfect for strapping down my kayak.

No more worries.
Maybe twice as thick as the straps I had been using (bare metal) & holds tight. Now I throw the clam end of the strap over my kayaks without worrying about scratching or denting my car roof. That alone is worth every penny that these straps demand.

Very Curly Out of Box
When I first uncoiled these out of the packaging the end of the strap would NOT got through the buckle AT ALL! I worked on it for 15-20 minutes and finally got it through once. So, I ironed the end of the strap and it made it flat and a little stiff and it goes through in a second now. Update. The tips of the straps get a little frayed over time and will NOT go through the buckle. They barely fit when I bought them. I have tried ironing them to make them really flat and that will work for a time or two and then it's back to having to work and work to get the tip of the strap through the buckle. I had some cheap cam straps before that didn't have the nice rubber housing that these have on the buckle and those buckles seemed to open up much wider than these do. I NEVER had trouble getting the straps to fit through the buckle like these. It may be due to the thickness of the straps, which is good, but they should have made the opening in the bucker larger to accommodate that. I am going to have to throw these away and buy new ones. It really sucks to be reaching over my head, trying to push a strap through a buckle for 5 minutes twice a day every time I use my canoe. It should go through in a second or two.
