Adorable--but need to be repackaged for gift giving.

These small tea light cactus candles are adorable. They’re small—just slightly larger than the usual tealight refills. I’m a sucker for miniature anything and am impressed by how real they look and the attention to detail in every sense—from the dirt to the colors and shading. They really look like real cacti. I have to confess that I’ve put them on a little shelf in my guest bathroom and have not (and will not) burn them. They do come with a wick and feel like wax but they are just too cute to destroy by burning so they will stay as decorations. They come in a little aluminum base that will fit most glass votive holders but do not fit a six-holed glass tea light holder. It’s a question of a couple of millimeters, but enough that they don’t slip down into the specific space allotted. It’s a shame, because those six little cacti all lined up would have been adorable. There are three types of cacti, and you get two of each. Another thing that is a shame is the way they come packaged. This is something that would make an adorable hostess gift anyone would love to receive. But they come in a cardboard box with a clear plastic top that is full of stickers. In addition to the “this is a set” sticker which measures 3 inches tall, it has four “fragile” stickers along the sides. None of them are easily removable. You would have to repackage it for gift giving (or for shower favors, etc).

Nice candles individually, but terrible packaging makes it a poor gift set

These succulent tea candles look pretty darn adorable. The base of the candle inside the metal holder is black, so it looks like each little succulent is sitting in a small pot. We're going to have these around the house as those candles that we never actually light. If you're buying these for yourself or plan to give out each candle individually as gifts, then this DII set of candles is great. However, I don't recommend buying this candle set if you plan on giving the entire set to someone. The packaging is clearly meant to look a little rustic with a cardboard tray, a clear plastic cover, and a piece of twine tied in a little bow. However, the plastic cover is comes with five large stickers on it, and ours arrived crushed, so the plastic was already deformed and loosely held onto the tray. Since we planned on keeping the candles for ourselves, we're fine with the damaged and ugly packaging. If you're buying this whole set as gift, look elsewhere.

Cute, a little bit of fun

Just a little bit of fun. Cute. Nothing serious. The tins are really, really thin and maul easily, but that's pretty normal these days all around. They'll be fine if just handled carefully and not fiddled with. They burn up pretty quickly, but they're pretty cute so it's not something I want to burn. I just leave them for a little fun. Cute miniatures, they can be burned, but why?

These tea lights are so cute, I hated to light them! So I lit just one to see how it burned, and to see if I could use the set more than once. The candle-ette burned evenly, kept out of a breeze. It welled in the middle, so I was able to enjoy the appearance of a succulent plant for a while, without the candle becoming misshapen. No, they aren't reusable, too tiny. But these little succulents will hold their own for an hour or so; light them for a southwestern party, or for any theme you choose. Note that they are advertised as being "decorative," so they are also nice little tchotchkes for display, and that may be the best use for them. These succulent candles are adorable, people will notice them and be delighted.

These are actually fantastic looking candle cactuses and they are tiny

These look really great. I am not burning them as candles but I did put them a pot with soil and put them in my bathroom. Once you get a good look at them you can tell that they're candles but they look really good and make a nice decoration. They are small as the base is the size of a tea light so it works well in a small tea light holder or would look great in a wooden panel with the board out holes for tea lights. I think these would be a great little party favor giving individually in little terracotta pots as well. I'm pleasantly surprised, I think these look great.

Super cute, but super small.

I was looking for a table gift for my son's rehearsal dinner. I'm on the fence about these cacti. I thought they would do okay because I thought they has the circumference of a regular tea candle. They are pretty small and the price is $9 on Amazon and I'm cooking for 50 people. As far as something for my kitchen garden window, they fit right in my theme of succulents I water every six months or ceramic cacti I never take care of. There isn't too much sun so I'm not worrying about melting; that and they are paraffin which I don't think melts too easy. Still on the fence...

Cute succulent cactus candles--small size

I grew up in the desert so these little candles reminded me of home. When they arrived, I was happy that they weren't melted in transit (we live in a warm climate so you must consider these factors when ordering products!) The succulent candles are adorable! They did a really nice job of making them look real. The "soil" on the candle is shiny black--a neutral color that matches other decor. I am putting these candles on the little nook next to my sink to brighten up the space. Great product!

Cute but...

These little tealight cactus candles are cute but I am not really sure what I am going to do with them. So far I just set them on a cart I have LED candles and artificial plants on. One of the candles came with two broken stems so I will probably toss that one. I can't imagine ever lighting these so I am going to have to find some kind of tealight holder where these will look good. Right now I am not sure about their future. That's why only three stars.
