Great addition to our collection

The ideas are endless with kids kinex. I think this is a great start for 4 and 5 year old to be creative with kinex. We have a basic set and added this to our collection for even more possibilities and fun!

Kid K'Nex is great for Early Years (3-8). Wish picture cards were included with this set.

As a preschool teacher for the past 30 years I have used Kid K'NEX in my classroom and I have nothing but good to say about this building system. The pieces are easy for little fingers to put together and they stay together well, making it less frustrating than some other building systems. As a teacher my past experience has been with the "Educators" sets and they have all included picture cards of various things to build. The cards are sturdy cardstock and I laminate them for further protection. I expected to find cards in this set as well due to the price of the set and did not check carefully to see if cards were in the product description. Alas, they were not... There is a poster with pictures of the various dinosaurs but they are small and do not show all the parts. My grandson loved the set and was quickly inventing his own creations but he was disappointed to not be able to create some of the dinosaurs because the pictures were so small.

Creative Fun

A bit pricey but my 6 yr old loves pieces he can put together and make something. He is about played out on legos. This is a interesting twist. It's like Lego blocks meet insects. My son loves it. My only regret is I should have got the kit with more pieces. Great gift idea.

The grandson's loved them!!!

I like seeing the children being creative. They can learn to follow the directions to make the animals shown or create their own with their own imagination. I went to Walmart and bought clear carry cases found in the sewing/arts section for storage. I think it would be smart for K'NEX to sell their own cases or better yet sell them with cases instead of boxes. I like that we can buy others and add to. They are very colorful and my grandson's totally enjoyed them at Christmas.

Great for Kids

My Nephew that is 6 loves these. He has a few different ones of theses kids k-nex but he loves this set. Fun pieces to use to create with.

Great fun for 5yr and 6yr old - get two boxes

The boys love making the creatures shown as well as creating their own creatures. Purchased two boxes so both boys can make the same items if they want. (A few of the larger creatures take up a lot of the pieces). The pieces are really well made. Second best thing I have bought for them. You should Also get the JumpOff Jo stepping stones made by another seller. Those are awesome as well.
