Perfect sprinkler for my plants.

We live in SoCal and must not waste water. I began putting my flowers and vegetables in above ground planter that are 48"x24" With an average sprinkler, I need to move the sprinkler to get the planter fully watered. Plus, I would have to weigh the sprinkler down with rocks. Thia amazing little sprinkler waters the whole planter. This is exactly the sprinkler I have been searching for. I have a crazy overgrown strip of lemon balm. In each of these places, I water by hand. Since I just had major spine surgery last month and cannot just stand for that long. Bending down to move the sprinkler makes me cry, it hurts. This was so easy to place. It truly is metal and solid. The ground spike went right into the soil without any effort except gentle pushing. It has what might be called a step that you can use your foot to push it into the soil deeper. There are 4 orange plastic clips that adjust the oscillating length and width. That last part is what I wanted, a way to adjust the width. There is an orange knob on the lower part and I think it may control water flow. If you are looking for a versatile sprinkler, buy this one.

Love the versatility

This is our second Melnor and I love that we can water our rectangular side yards without too much fuss or water waste. The adjustments for the sides and for water flow also mean less trips back and forth to the sprinkler and water spigot to get the watering set. Also, I love the "rain-like" pattern which seems to knock down more nitrogen out of the air (IMHO) for a greener, better watered lawn.

Lives up to its claim

Very easy to assemble and set up. I did a comparison using my current oscillating sprinkler and the Melnor sprinkler. Ran my current sprinkler for a few minutes to establish the coverage area. Then I connected the Melnor to the house and positioned it the same as the other sprinkler. Turned on the water and ran for several minutes. The coverages area was increased by several feet all around.

Works Great For My Front Lawn

Installed new Sod and my sprinkler system is busted. Been using this for the front yard. Works really well - and hits a large area. Might buy another for the side yard since you can adjust it to not oscillate as well. Great product. The quick connectors it came with felt cheap so I bought some brass ones. Very pleased with the product.

Ease of use

This sprinkler has a lot of flexibility. The spray can be narrow or wide and distance can easily be controlled. One of the better use cases for this item is the ability to water a very small area in isolation. My irrigation system needs to adjusted as is missing certain parts of my lawn. This a perfect stopgap given its functionality and price.

Finally

This sprinkler allows for a longer coverage area for a small yard. It gets my whole front yard and half of my side yard without moving it.

Better than expected

I purchased with the expectation that it would be similar to others, but pleasantly surprised that it’s a great product and love the versatility of multiple settings

good design - you will definately need to stake it down

good design with lots of configurable options including reducing the water flow into it. you will definitely need to stake it down. I was looking for something to water a kidney shape and it works 90% of the shape.

Looks and operates exactly as advertised

I'm extremely happy with this purchase. For such a small little thing, it's surprisingly sturdy and easily adjustable. We use it in the front yard and it's easy to cover the entire lawn without spraying people on the sidewalk. There's only one negative and it's easily resolved. The product came in a plain brown box with no instruction manual. I searched online and couldn't find a manual online either. Fortunately, I found a video on YouTube that clearly shows how to set up and adjust the device. It would be nice if there was a link to the video with the product on Amazon or at least a downloadable video on the product website.

First one defective

The media could not be loaded. Got the first one defective, had to return and get the second one. That was a bit of hassel. Overall, the product does the job. It covers every corner of our small backyard. But it was definitely overpriced given the quality. I really concerned how long it can last.

Easily the best sprinkler

Once you try it you'll wonder why you put up with the frustrating oscillating style. No more guess work, hoping you've got the settings right. This has easy to read settings with targeted sprinkling options which can be especially good when restrictions are on, plus full on wide coverage. Found perfect settings for the raised beds, so instead of changing things (although simple to do) I just bought another for the yard. Now have I have 4! Do wonder about the long term sturdiness of the plastic casing, but so far so good. A little pricey but overall worth it. Still, watch for sales.

One year later...

After one year of use I have found 2 weaknesses in these sprinklers. 1: Much more water is delivered to the ends of the throw than the middle where the unit is. About double. They linger far too long at the ends of their reach. 2. The spikes are fragile pot metal and break easily if you don't push down perfectly straight. One of mine is broken off. Not sure how to deal with it.

Riego no tan uniforme

El producto es muy bueno. Llevo tres meses con el aspersor, es muy silencioso, impresionante como oscila pero al final el riego no es tan uniforme como los ilustran. Cuando lo configuras para que riegue un poco ancho (más de la mitad) se termina dibujando un círculo más que un cuadrado. Terminas sacrificando algunas áreas, cómo las esquinas, que no se riegan bien o terminas desperdiciando agua en el piso donde no hay pasto.
