Not surprisingly it works!

This is a fine casual belt. The quality and finish is casual and the price is right. For those prone to use the belt to holster a knife or pistol you will not be disappointed, although the leather will show scratch. For those that wear the belt overly tight tight the belt will show a buckle crease.

Leather finish scratches

I read reviews on other belts about the brown finish on the leather scratching very easily, but did not see such on this item before purchasing. I wish now that there was. So here is mine to spare some heartache to anyone else looking for a leather belt. The brown finish scratches very easily. So easily in fact that when the belt arrived coiled in a relative oval shape within its clear plastic bag, the outer "corners" of said shape were already rubbed clean of the dark brown finish, leaving the entire length of the leather belt looking striped! Look hereDanbury Men's 1 3/8" Fashionable Leather Work Belt at the 2 "customer images" that I submitted to see what I'm talking about. I'm sure the leather is durable, but the lovely brown finish is just the result of cheap chinese craftsmanship.

Good Belt

This is, for me, a work belt. It looks good, holds up well, and holds up my pants. What more can one ask of a belt? Actually this is my second of these belts, the first was a 44; this is a 40: so I know it will hold up to hard wear.

Belt is very good quality and looks exactly like the photo. Perfect for jeans and chinos. A little too wide to work with dressier pants but I didn't get it for that.

Belt is cheaply made from poor quality leather

Belt is cheaply made from poor quality leather, belt tore around holes and broke into two pieces. belt does not say cowhide leather on it, just top grain leather - makes me wonder.
