It needs the water proof lube to work, but did the job!!!

It was hard to find because it is very old style, but once I found it and ordered it and the tube of recommended lube for it, I was a happy homeowner again! Not a problem to install if you pay attention to what you are doing and clean all rust & corrosion first.

'O' Rings won't fit.

O-Rings will not allow cartridge to fit into faucet handle properlyy/are twice as thick as originals. No luck at Home Depot, but Ace Hardware had proper ones marked "8X12 mm by 2.0 mm". You are in for heartbreak if you try to use the ones they send in the package. Photo of O-Ring on left is what they sent, O-ring on right is the original, proper one.

Not a great fit

The washers on the side are too thick. It is very difficult to get this into place. I was hoping that this replacement cartridge had better fitting washers.

O-Ring Issues

The o-rings on the side are just a bit too big and when attempting to place the sleeve on to the cartridge, the o-rings will not stay in place and will get pitched thus causing damage to them. Beyond that big problem, it would have been a good replacement part.

Very disappointed.

Rings didn't stay in place. Rings Tore the minute I inserted the cartridge causing the exact same issue I bought it to fix. Very disappointed.

A Major Headache

As noted by many other customers who purchased this cartridge, the two smaller O-Rings on each side are too large. They bulge and prevent the cartridge from being inserted into the faucet valve. I contacted the manufacturer and even with their assistance was unable to install the cartridge. I purchased the cartridge as a backup, and by the time I finally needed it, and then gave up and threw in the towel when it proved defective, the return date had expired. When I contacted the manufacturer regarding their defective product, and all the identical testimonials, they did not respond.

Can be made to work with old Gerber faucet

I purchased this cartridge for a 40 year old Geber faucet, based on it's appearance only, and can make it work with a couple of o-ring changes, so I am quite satisfied with it.
