Great shirt, runs small

I wear a Medium T-shirt and if I wanted the t-shirt tight I would pick a Small. I ended up with a Large for this shirt. It's super soft, and does help keep you warm in the water. It's basically a slightly-thinner wetsuit (maybe even the same thickness as a thinner wetsuit, I know they come in different thicknesses but not much more) that's easy to get on and off independent of a swimsuit.

Works Great! My son loves it!

My son has been in competitive swimming for about 4 years now and he has never gotten used to the pool temperature. Considering they are in it for 2.5 hours per practice - he was miserable. We tried an Under Armor shirt which helped a little - then we got the Finis swim shirt and he loves it! He is comfortable and can concentrate on swimming technique at practice. It has the added element of adding some drag so it forces him to work a little harder - which is great for increasing his strength and speed for swim meets. Speaking of which he qualified and competed at both State and Regionals in the backstroke - thanks!

Keeps granddaughter warm, is comfortable, and looks cool

Granddaughter gets cold in the surf, so wanted something to help her stay warm in the ocean. Where we are, temps range from upper 60s to low 70s so can be chilly in a breeze. This shirt is fuzzy on the inside and acts like a windshirt on the outside. It keeps her warm in the water. She takes it off when she gets out, and we wring it out, spread it out on a boogie board, and it dries fairly quickly. Also, it looks more like a wet suit top, and holds its shape when wet. It also acts like a rash guard for boogie boarding. She could last all day with this shirt. She is also fussy about how clothes feel - won't wear anything that isn't comfortable. Tried a shortsleeved wetsuit first, and she hated the way that "felt". Loves this shirt, though. Held up well, will be great hand me down, too. Great solution for kids!

Great Thermal Shirt

It is very hard to find a thermal shirt, mostly the only thing you can find to keep warm in the water is a full wet suit which is too constricting for swim team practice. My son is 6 and very thin and small but this fits him snugly as desired, and keeps him warmer when he practices. The shirt is soft inside, like a sweatshirt, and he loves that. The shirt is long and he tucks it into his jammers, which is good because it doesn't ride up when doing free or fly. Someone had written in a review that her shirt fell apart??? Our shirt is still perfect after 5 practices a week for a month. As with swim wear you cannot wash them in a washing machine our they will get destroyed. I have hand washed with soap specifically designed for swim wear and it is just fine. Overall the shirt is great and we plan on using it for his ocean rough water swim where the water will be even colder!

Warm and adds great sun protection and lasts a LONG time!

I run a private swim lesson business and travel to many backyard and community pools. All of which are different temperatures. I use to wear just regular "rash guards" to try to help keep me warmer and protected from the sun until I discovered FINIS thermal training shirts. They keep me INCREDIBLY warm all year round in colder water and when I get out, I don't feel the cold breezes that I would normally feel. They are soft, warm, dry SUPER fast and can be used time and time again. Basically I rotate between 3 of the same thermal shirts to keep them lasting longer, but I am in the water 30+ hours a week (chlorine and salt water pools) and my shirts usually keep up for months. They are a great investment and I wouldn't recommend anything else. If you have a child who does private lessons who gets cold easily, I would highly suggest buying these shirts for them. I know they were more designed for the purpose of swimming laps, but I think they work better for swim instructors and lessons ( : I LOVE THEM! -Amy from "Swim To You" in Orange County California

I picked up 5 of these on sale and 1 at the new, much lower regular price

I teach swimming on Saturdays and am in the water for 2-4 hours. I used to wear swim shirts which I found useful but was still cold at times. This has been a great addition to my wardrobe - warmer than the lighter swim shirts and equally comfortable. I swim comfortably in the shirt demonstrating techniques or moving from end to end with students. I bought several to give as gifts to my fellow teachers and so far they are a hit. I've worn mine weekly for about 5 months and it's holding up well to this point.

Swim Shirt extraordinar

This thermal swim shirt is worth every penny. I enjoy water sports or a gentle swim. I decided I needed this shirt when Arizona winter started. I use to get cold when a breeze hit my shoulders and the back of my neck. This shirt is comfortable. No wind cuts thru the product. Some folks were unhappy with the long sleeves. I found a fix to long sleeves scooping up the water, I simply rolled the sleeves up and the snug fit kept water from running down my arms. I could feel coolness of the water but never got cold. I tested it one day when the air temperature was slightly under 56 degrees and we had no sun and a breeze. I did fine and this shirt kept the cold at bay. I have recommended this product to others. It is a great buy.

Just what I needed

I wanted to wear a long sleeve shirt that would keep me warm during lap swim. because I hate cold water. Keep in mind that it is not a wetsuit so it's for swimming pool or beach sort-of-cold water. It’s good for water that is a couple of degrees too cool or windy, chilly days.

Fits well, warm, comfortable

I bought this for my wife and she can be very particular. She loves it because it fit well, it kept her warm enough for ocean swimming (not long distance swims just splashing around/SUPping), and it was comfortable. Thicker that rash guard. It almost seems to have a bit of a liner on the inside.

Perfect!

Perfect and exactly what we were looking for! Very soft lining and material overall so our daughter is happy to wear as it’s very comfortable as well as keeping her warm whilst swimming! Not like the usual neoprene material, much better for doing swimming lessons in! Couldn’t praise the product more!

Loose cuffs, bags when wet

Runs true to the sizing guide when worn dry, but unfortunately bags when wet, especially because the cuffs are loose, which makes swimming free style awkward, as each hand entry produces a cone of water trying to force up the sleeve Fine if you just want to do a bit of recreational swimming like gentle breast stroke and keep warmer, but if you are a more athletic swimmer I think you will be unhappy

It is easy to dress and confortable to wear.I think the sleeves could be a little tighter .For me it is the possibility to enter a pool a little bit colder and swimm easily but as it gets wetit enlarges as acchewing gum and waterpasses between the shirt and the skin and it feels cold
