Runs pretty small
They are comfortable, lightweight and they look really good on, but I would recommend going up 2-3 sizes compared to your regular pants. I wear a size 11 normally, bought the size 14 because I like my work clothes a little big and had been told by people who had also bought these to size up one or two sizes. I still could've gone up another size to be comfortable when sitting down, which is something you do in an ambulance quite a bit. So other than the insane sizing on them, Super nice, very comfortable, plenty of pockets and the velcro is top notch.

Sit too low, too large in waste, too butt-hugging
I don't need tactical pants per se, but i hate carrying a purse and want to have large enough pockets to put my phone, my keys and my wallet in comfortably and securely. These pants looked promising in that regard. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is that they are definitely very well made and the design of all those pockets is great. However, I just don't see how they can fit anyone. The rise is very low - they sit 1 1/2 or 2 inches below my belly button. From the hips up there is no tapering whatsoever, I don't understand how they can stay up on anyone. Maybe a larger behind (no offence to ladies who reviewed them as fitting perfectly) would keep them up, although I don't consider mine particularly small, and it's certainly not big enough. I usually wear size 10, sometimes 8, depending on the brand/cut. I have wide hip bones, a regular waist (not too small by any standards!). My widest part is just below where the thighs meet the hips. Size 10 had some give in the thighs and hips - not loose, but size 8 would probably work there as well. But the waist!!! It was sticking out by a few inches in the back. The way these pants are cut, I'd probably need at most a 6 in the waist, which wouldn't have fit in the hips and would've make it impossible to zip them up past half way! Maybe if your circumference stays the same from just below your hips through where the waist line *should* be, they will work for you. But if you do have a waistline (and I appreciate the fact that not everyone does), look elsewhere. In addition to the low rise and the huge waist, the pants hugged the bottom of my... well... bottom way too tightly. Almost to the point where the undies line would be visible, in spite of the very sturdy fabric. I don't understand how the huge waist and the tight butt can be combined into a single pair of pants, but they are! I realize some women like to have pants with tightly fitting butts and consider them appealing (I bet a lot of guys do too!), but to me that borders on indicent. I would never wear anything that tight! In case my description of the cut makes you feel it would fit/become you, a note about the fabric: it's a very sturdy, heavy ripstop. These are not summer pants! I live in Rhode Island, and to me they'd be good for the spring/fall. I think they are too warm for anything above 70 degrees. Not a bad thing, just be aware.

high quality and durable
These are high quality tactical pants. I purchased them so I could use them for hiking, fishing, camping, and target shooting. I ordered one size larger than normal as a lot of reviews suggested to do. They were right! The elastic in the waistband is great. They don't cut in when I sit down, squat, or bend over. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that they seem to have been designed by men. :D There was a real effort to fit them to a woman's body but it's not quite right. The inseam is a bit too shallow so the pants ride up in the bum area and give me a bit of a permanent wedgie.

Quality Tactical Pant
I just received these pants. Waffled back and forth on the size to order based upon other reviews. I'm 5'3" and a very curvy girl. My waist is 10 inches smaller than my hips (and no, I'm not one of those crazy Barbie Doll plastic surgery nuts). Depending upon brand, I'm a size 12P or 14P. According to the size charts, based upon my measurements, I should have ordered a 16; however, if I had, I'd have been swimming in them. Glad I went with my gut and went with a 14. My only really negative on this pair of pants is that the waste band is is really big even with the elastic waistband., and it is not something you can easily just take up with a seam. Additionally, the pants ride a little lower below the waist than I think these pants should. I was easily able to cut the pants off to run a quick hem in them on my sewing machine. Pockets are ample and well placed!

Should have ordered usual pant size
I bought these pants for my job as a correctional officer. I normally wear a size 11/12 in pants. Based on the reviews I read I ordered a size 16. Well the size 16 was way too big. I returned the 16 and ordered a size 14. The size14 fits fine but I think I could have ordered a size 12 like I normally wear and they would have fit well. The material is not really light weight. Pretty satisfied with my pants despite the issues stated above.

Very cool pants!
Tons of features. Great, well over-sewn pockets. I think I could hide an Arsenal in all the space. Nice, heavy, wide belt loops that will accommodate a great duty belt. I however am 5’2”. The 30” inseam is ok. I am a well insulated woman. At Eddie Bower, I usually wear between a 14-16, mostly 14. I ordered the “18” and am sure glad I did!!!! They are quite low waisted. Quite lower than good stretch pants. (Note where they sit on the model in the description). These pants feature the most amazing HIDDEN stretch band! (On both sides around front hip area) The pockets have these notches with extra material that folds in/out when waistband is stretched. So, being low waisted isn’t much of a deal because of this feature. No question, order at LEAST one size up!!!!!!!!! If you intend to carry INSIDE the waistband, you BETTER order two sizes up.

One size up but too small in hips
I typically wear a women’s size 12 from Old Navy or Men’s size 32/30 Relaxed fit (my waist size is 31” and hips are 44”). I ordered a size 14 of these tactical pants, and found that the waist was good but the hip size a little too small – They were such a low waist pant that I gave myself a wedgie whenever I bent over to pick up something off the ground! The legs opening at the base was also a bit wider than typical- my men’s Carhart pants have a 9” leg opening and these have a 10” leg opening. Also, as many others have noted they arrived unhemmed. The material was nice and the pants were well constructed, but I returned mine since the hips were too small.
