True to sizing chart - and a month later, they are absolutely PERFECT!

These are very well made shoes, and I am going to order another pair. My feet are exactly 10 inches long, so I checked the sizing chart and ordered size 9.5 ladies (US) or 40 (European) - just as the chart suggested. BUT, my feet are also VERY wide (4 1/4 inches). Most reviews indicated that these work very well for boat-sized feet, and they do! The shoes fit fine, wore them all day today; however, my little toes are a bit sore from hitting the edge of the shoe, and I would have liked a bit more wiggle room (personal preference - I like a little bit looser fitting clothing and foot wear. So, the next pair I am going to order will be size 10. And since these are leather, I am assuming the 9.5 size will become more comfortable as well as I break them in. Very happy! Update after a month of wearing: I did order the same pair in size 10, and they are a bit too loose - still work, but I am sliding around too much when walking on very uneven ground - which I do a lot. BUT, I am super pleased to report, the 9.5 size wore in beautifully - unfortunately it took about 30 days of sore little toes, but now these are the best gardening shoes I have. Added some mink oil to the leather to make them a bit more waterproof, but if you are in moderate wetness, they are fine without extra help. Glad I have 2 pairs!

A steal for Keens

I was a little nervous after reading the reviews on these shoes but the price was irresistible so I went for it. I am a loyal Keens wearer and it's the only hiking/sport brand of shoe that fits my boat-like feet. The reviews said this shoe was narrower than normal but I did not find that to be true. The shoe looks great, fits my fat feet perfectly and doesn't squeeze my toes. Because the heel is coated in leather, the heel does lift a little with each step but it hasn't bothered me so far. I've only walked a few miles in these so I'm not sure if the heel lift would cause blisters or irritation after more than a couple of miles. The laces are round which I don't love for longer hikes so I will replace with flat laces but so far, so good!

Did the sizing change?

I had this exact shoe and after 14 years they were done. I liked them so much I ordered a new pair in the same size (7). The new shoes were much larger than my old pair. To be fair, a size seven is usually too big for me, but that was the size of my old shoes that fit perfectly. Perhaps Keen has changed sizing in the last 14 years?

Something wrong

I have several pairs of Keen Presidio size 9 shoes. These fit at least a half size bigger all over. They are marked size 9. I tried inserts and thick socks. My feet were slipping up and out of them. Quality otherwise was excellent. Returned.

Recommended by many, good and sturdy

This brand was recommended by many. I needed a shoe to walk to trains and around town, and also to hike in the Alps. This pair worked very well, plenty of room for toes, no blisters. I would still recommend bringing a lighter pair for a break. My toes hurt after hiking downhill, so I had a pair of sandals.

Very comfortable but slightly klunky

There is no doubt that these shoes are comfortable and fit well but they are a bit bulky. I mean, they aren't Frankenstein boots but they are a little less than attractive on women's feet.

Great shoe for work.

This shoe could use a little more padding on the insole. I just add an extra pad. I wear these all day and I walk several miles a day for work. Overall great shoe.

Received wrong color

The shoes itself is cool but they sent different color. Had to exchange.
