Exactly as advertised! Need for a elder relative
I started the search at local mobility stores ( prices were too high). However, I was able to get a better idea of various options on the market and compare various features. The purchase was for an elderly relative. Lightweight, and comfortable, can be folded and stored in a closet. Easy to maneuver and the padded arms are a big plus as well as brakes. It became clear that comparing features was important which did add more $$; however, this chair was still purchased below other DME and Mobility supply stores. Also used by many residents in the same facility. Great purchase!

Convenient, lightweight transport chair
Overall, this chair works well and seems to be a good choice. There is really no assembly required, just pull it out of the box and pop on the two footrests. Reviews for this and similar chairs suggest that the front forks which seem rather thin might be a concern. I selected this one in part because of several reviews for other chairs showing bent or collapsed forks. Of course, this one also has one such review. I assume that might relate to loading since this chair is claimed to be good for occupants up to 300 pounds and I suspect that might be overly optimistic for a chair with such a lightweight aluminum frame. Since my wife is only about 5’ and 110 pounds I am hoping that this chair will prove sturdy enough for us. The chair is relatively light at 23.4 pounds with the footrests installed, and I like the larger wheels which handle terrain well. Although only 8” in diameter the front wheels are large enough to roll over smaller bumps like flooring perimeter strips without having to reverse direction. The 12” rear wheels are also a nice feature and roll smoothly. For a smaller occupant at least, the seat is roomy and comfortable with no additional cushioning needed. The chair folds easily to a narrower size and the top half of the backrest also folds to help reduce the storage space. Opening the chair and raising and locking the back into position also takes just seconds. The handbrakes are good. They required no adjustment out of the box and both braking and locking in position was fine. There is no information provided on their adjustment, but they seem to be pretty standard bicycle type brakes and presumably can be adjusted if needed with the locknut. The only problem with the chair I received is that the left foot rest does not lock into position properly without pressing the tab to force it closed. The other one works fine. The chairs fulcrum point seems to be over the rear axle and the chair can be tilted backwards very easily. That helps when needed at curbs and such but it could be a problem and requires ones attention. Some more expensive chairs include rear bars to limit backwards rotation but I already find the small footpads at the back of this chair a minor problem since the length of the back arms is too short for me and I tend to keep inadvertently kicking the footpads. Accidental back rotation shouldn’t be a problem as long as one is careful. I don’t think the seatbelt is likely to help and it can tend to get in the way, but fortunately it is attached with a single screw at each end so it could be easily removed without any damage to the belt or the chair. The length of the footrests can be adjusted to 5 positions and they swing out of the way easily for access to the chair. They also are easy to put on and take off, but they only lock in the forward position. Since they are normally swung open before the chair is folded for loading into the car, they invariably just fall off. A mechanism to hold them in place while swung open would be helpful. They can be swung back to lock before loading, although that does take up more space. Overall, this transport chair meets our requirements very well and I am glad I bought it.

We have narrow doors! This works!
We have narrow doorways and use this in the house to help get family member around. I recommend getting a full function wheelchair for trips outside the home as they are more maneuverable when there is available space and allow patient independence.

Getting through doorways
Nice comfortable chair. Easy to roll and navigate through household doorways and halls. Brakes are a little left to desire but work well when new and the not so easy to adjust as chair ages. This is a gods send for me.

Light weight wheel chair
This transport wheelchair is a great substitute for lugging around a full-size wheelchair. It's easy to get in and out of the car and up and down a few steps if needed. The larger wheels are a must.

Great little wheelchair!
I selected this wheelchair at first because of its weight, which I knew would be easy for me to pick up. I am elderly (ooh I hate that word). I turned back in my husbands medicare wheelchair because it was too big and heavy for me to handle. I use the wheelchair mostly in our home now but I can put it in my van in a couple of minutes. I also like that it folds up quickly! It is holding up nicely and looks clean and neat (we have the blue one). It is easy to maneuver and comfortable for my husband. I am thinking of buying a second one to leave at our daughter's home.

Check the nuts and bolts regularly
The footrest attachment's nuts came off somewhere in my travels and now one will not latch. Not much good now pushing with his feet dropping to the ground and abruptly stopping me. Otherwise, the chair is good. (I eventually got another chairs footrest.)

Avoid at all costs!
When we purchased this "lightweight expedition" chair, we thought it would be an ideal wheelchair to use for taking my father on vacation. However, within the first day the chair imploded, broke at the arm rest with my father in the wheelchair. Thankfully he was not injured but others may not be so lucky. As we were on vacation in the US, Amazon could do nothing for us and offered to take the wheelchair back for warranty, only IF we could send it back from Canada. (The thought that I couldn't ship it back from the US confounds me) This would involve us having to find packaging for the broken wheelchair along with paying to have it flown back home, while trying to find a new wheelchair, and while trying to enjoy our vacation. This wheelchair couldn't even survive a day old "expedition". I would suggest you find a different wheelchair to ensure better quality, better safety and to save you the hassle.

Functional, but for limited use.
BLUF: Stick to very smooth surfaces and short distances - this is not a tough-built chair. I purchased this chair for my wife who had broken an ankle. We planned on using the chair for holiday travel to Oslo this December, as she could not walk in her cast. The first time we drove through the city was the day after Christmas. We had traveled just a few hundred feet down a sidewalk when the left front caster disintegrated. The weight load on the chair was nowhere near the listed 300# maximum. It being Oslo (socialist medicine - everyone who needs a wheelchair gets one) and Christmas week, there was no place to rent a replacement. The airline wouldn't ship a broken chair free and the additional luggage fee was $100, so the chair stayed in Norway. While I would normally request a replacement, I had nothing to return. Just got off the phone with Amazon - they agreed to refund the cost of purchase. For the manufacturer, only beefier/stronger caster material would help. As designed, the casters are the weakest part of the chair. While this wheelchair is listed as an "Expedition" model, it would be best suited to flat, level ground and short distances. The brake is operator-initiated and cannot be locked; do not leave occupants unassisted -- I was OK with this. Folded as advertised; held it closed with a strap I provided. The foot supports are not designed to fold and still remain attached to the chair; they are quite light, quickly and easily removable, and went in a carry-on for the flight. Very light weight chair, easy to maneuver on smooth surfaces.

Great way to get Mom out and about again.
Just what we needed to get Mom mobile and out of the apartment again. It folds up to fit into a small car, and it's light enough to be manageable for me, a not-terribly-strong 60-year-old woman. Thanks, Drive, for adding to my mother's enjoyment of life!

That last two hospitals I visited did not have wheel chairs so we were forced to buy one for my 98 year old mother. Arrived in 4 days and was very sturdy, maneuverable, no assemble except for the foot rests. Nice soft wheels. Very impressed.
