Don't split hairs: $68.. Moderate comfort, but practical chair

My 15-year-old teenage son uses it for PC gaming and went with the no-arms style. Beneficial when he's bellying up to the desk for shear video game dominance over your spouse or child in likely obscure and seemingly pointless gaming sessions. It is what it is. I tried the chair.. meh, leans back more than it should for a typical task chair, which is what this appears to be. I'm a big ole boy-- (How big'a boy are ya?) About 6'-4", 270-lbs with "adequate cushion in the back seat". Matter of fact, it's so adequate it's achieve hypersensitivity, so it knows a good chair when it feels one. Cushion in the base is meh. It's barely enough foam to shrug off any discomfort. Not impressive but not totally uncomfortable. I guess if I could ask my teenage butt to respond to my middle-aged butt's immediate remarks, there might be varying opinions-- especially in the heat of digital battle. The back is surprisingly cushioned, but it's kind of at an angle. It feels weird to me, but I'm not in it longer than 45 seconds. The height adjustments are good to ensure some sort of blood flow and non-crippling effects as a result of extended gaming sessions. For the price, it's tough to find anything with real comfort. I DEFINITELY would NOT use this chair for all-day WFH applications, unless you're up and down multiple times throughout the day.. this chair will murder your cheeks (starting with your tailbone) in 6- to 8-hour-sized work-a-thons. The chair is lightweight. Not sure if that matters-- well, maybe to your delivery person-- but was a pleasant feature when we realized we used the too-long screws to anchor the pneumatic pump & plate to the seat bottom.. yeah, explains why we could feel the screw threading in the leg and cheeks... Oh, and the piston shaft under the seat has ample grease on it.. just ask my jeans. Bottomline: Tell your kid it's this chair or nothing at all. Then tell them that you used to bring each member of the Bowzer family to their knees and speed running the ruin of Mother Brain was like baking cookies.. with Martha Stewart. Tell'em you went hours looking up at a 13" (sometimes) color tube TV with glazed eyeballs and elbow burn-- thanks to the merciless sea of carpet of '70s and '80s home fashions. And you were thankful. It can always be worse. Then tell'em that streamers with big chairs look like douchebags. This is the way.

Rating this chair after 4 months of usage

Purchased this Flash Chair in the color yellow. It has been approximately 4 months now. I have used this chair every single day since it arrived. As of today not one single problem has arisen from my giving it normal daily usage. For me that's around 4 hours per day everyday, more or less. The color of the material is still very vibrant and metals are shiny. The rollers at the bottom work well. They are still in place and have not come undone. This chair is comfortable for the type of chair in this cost range. However it seems the longer one sits upon it, the more it feels like you are sitting upon a hard surface. To be more specific it can start to feel like one is just sitting upon a piece of flat wood. Therefore, if you intend to sit upon it for many hours throughout the day. Then one might end up requiring some sort of additional padding. I ended up purchasing a little pillow cushion and placed it upon the seat portion of this chair. If I am sitting in this chair for more than around 2-3 hours. The cushion is placed on the seat which allows me to remain comfortable for prolonged periods of sitting. Is the chair sturdy? Yes if setup properly. Is it attractive? Yes Is it comfortable? Yes for 1-3 hours at a time. Of course this will vary with each individual. Do the hydraulics function properly (moving up/down)? Yes Does the back recline (forward/backward)? No Is it easy to set up? Yes

Only looks pretty

My 13 year old daughter absolutely loves the color and design of this chair, but she complains of how uncomfortable it is, and how she can’t sit in it for very long without her owl pillow. It feels as though your entire weight is resting on the middle pole that is in the center of the chair. Only reason I didn’t return it was because it was the perfect color yellow. Note I am still scouring web sites to replace this chair.

Extremely uncomfortable and worth what I paid for it.

This chair is very uncomfortable. The base wobbles a little too much and one of the arms has gotten loose and fallen off twice. However, considering I paid less than $40 for the armless version (meaning they sent the wrong one), I would say it's definitely worth what I spent on it.

Use professional allen wrench

Arrived early, very pretty, not disappointed. Use a real allen wrench to assemble. Instructions are easy. A good purchase.

Couldn't ask for a better deal

I work from home and needed to replace a gross hand-me-down with something both stylish and comfortable. The price was right on and it shipped in a flash. It was a snap to put together; about 20 minutes from box to use. I'm a sizeable person and the chair width was comfortable and the extra padding a bonus. Plus, with five legs instead of four, it feels sturdier than similar models and rolls with ease. The color is a perfect primary yellow with a mesh finish... kind of sporty. The chrome details are actually metal and not metal-finished plastic, which is what I was expecting. No issues so far with the seat adjuster. Overall, a great purchase I won't soon regret.

Possibly cheaper if bought with the armrests

Love it! Great for my office! If you see the same chair color with chair, but with armrests and it is CHEAPER - get it. This chair has the arm rest holes, so it obviously the exact same chair

It will do.

This chair does the job but I wasn’t impressed finding a damaged item on opening the package. Also the padded portion of the seat isn’t the greatest for sitting on for 8 hours.
