Quick fix for the DIY person that made me smile.

Why fight to fix one when you can replace it and be back on the road again. In my case I also needed the plastic intake manifold as those are easy to warp with overzealous tightening of the fastening bolts.

Not a Briggs & Stratton Carb

This carburetor contains no brand markings, only 2 nuts and the incorrect intake to head gaskets. It is not a Briggs & Stratton Carb as there are no brand marks in the castings.

OEM Nikki Briggs with all gaskets

This is a real OEM Briggs carburetor with all the gaskets you'll need. Comes with latest bowl solenoid. My old one had the old type connection but it still fit and works in this newer version.

Unreliable Products

Bought a new Craftsman top of the line CTX 9500 lawn tractor and it started missing. Sears came out and said the carburetor was bad and installed a new one in early July 2015. Now during the grass cutting summer season of 2016 it has started badly missing again. I use 89 octane fresh Shell gas, all general maintenance was performed at the beginning of the season such as oil change, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, new spark plugs, etc. I called the technician again and he came out and thoroughly checked out everything. He has concluded that it needs another new carburetor (approx. $450 total). The grass was cut only 4 times on the previous new carburetor and afterwards have had to use my old tractor most of the time because it seems the new Craftsman tractor with the Briggs & Stratton engine is out of service most of the time with some problem. The newer tractor only has 40 some hours on it and is still like new. Never had this number of problems with the John Deere lawn tractor which has a Kohler engine. Will make sure I never buy Craftsman tractors or others which have Briggs & Stratton engines again.
