Light and comfortable
I love these boots, I work in security and walk and stand alot, I was getting only tactical boots but of course they're heavy and in certain aspects of Security you need something like that but where I've been posted I do mostly walking and standing and for that you'd love to have boots like these, they are very light and alot more comfortable than other boots and hey! they look goo too, you can polish them up if you want, but in any work or anyone that walks alot and wears boots these are the boots to have with you, I really love em and will be buying a couple of more pairs to be prepared in the future????

Great boots for concrete.
I average around 8 miles per day at work. All concrete. I've been buying these Rockport boots for around 8 years. I love them. They athletic insole system (designed by Adid_s) is awesome. You can literally play a game of pick-up ball in these. I have. They are literally more comfortable than NEARLY ALL of my high-end athletic shoes. You know those high-end workbooks that cost around $200/pr these days? These are more comfortable and last just as long. The outsole isnt identified as slip resistant, but I have found them to be better than most boots. BTW, I keep all my boots when they get retired from work. They are great around the homestead and still very comfortable outdoor work. I also keep a pair for "nice" wear when it's cold, snowy, or even rainy. Yeah, they're that comfortable and good looking. I'll wear them to church without a second thought. Thank you, Rockport, for bringing back this original boot! The fit is perfect. I always purchase 2-3 pair at a time when they're available.

My favorite boots
Good fit, comfortable and waterproof! Love these. My second pair. Doesn’t have a really deep tread so it doesn’t cake with mud.

The MIDDLE portion is too shallow and tight; you can NOT wear them with socks
The MIDDLE portion is too shallow and tight; you can NOT wear them with socks; also, the middle TONGUE is loose; it's NOT attached to both sides which makes these shoes NONE winter and NONE waterproof

Perfect work shoe.
This is the fourth pair I have purchased. Love the fit and they are most comfortable to work in.

Quality and comfort
Owned a pair for years and still wear them for yard work, etc.. Bought a new pair that still have the same comfort and features I want. Waterproof, padded collar around ankle and overall comfort and quality that is well worth the money. Would recommend!

Nice simple style but questionable quality
I like simple things. I don't know why but it took me a long time to find simple looking boots that were not outrageously priced. I found these and thought I'd give them a shot. I like them overall but I think I'll spend the extra money for better quality next time. They're fairly comfortable. No complaints after a few months of daily use in a job where I walk around a lot. I like the simple looking style. The places broke after about a week but those are cheap and easy to replace with better ones. It looks like some gaps are starting to appear between the sole and the rest of the boot on both of them. I'm not sure how much longer they'll last but they made it through a Midwest winter so far while keeping my feet warm and dry.

Something is Different
Had great luck with last 3 pairs of Rockport boots, but these “made in China” boots are just OK.

Hard wearing good quality
American boot, they look and feel good quality, comfortable, I ordered a half size less and they fit perfectly. Shipping to England, about 3 weeks.

Rockport Elkhart vs Timberland Flume
I just purchased a pair of Timberland Flume as well as a pair of Rockport Elkhart. They are very similar and excellent boots, but with different pros and cons. (They both cost around $100). They are so similar (colour, shape, style, built, etc.) that if I had to wear one on each foot, no one would actually notice! Here is a comparison of both products: 1) Timberland Flume PROS: Very light and comfortable Softer leather than the Rockports More comfortable than the Rockports Slightly wider than the Rockports (The Rockports are extremely tight fitting ... but at the same time offers great support) Slightly better arch support than the Rockports CONS: It is not quite a size 9. Beware, these shoes tend to size a bit smaller than expected. I had just purchased the exact same pair of Timberland Flume for my son in size 10 a few weeks ago (from a local store). Since I am usually a size 9 (I typically go from size 8.5 to 9.5), I opted for a size 9, which is my regular size. However, the Timberlands seem to be closer to a size 8.5 than a size 9! Ideally I would need a size 9.5 and actually feel that my son's size 10 are probably close to a 9.5. Therefore, if you tend to be between sizes you MUST go with the size above, particularly if you intend to wear thicker socks. 2) Rockport Elkhart PROS: Equally light (perhaps a touch heavier than the Timberlands) A bit less casual. The front part of the boots is actually longer and therefore they looks less like hiking boots. Much tighter fit than the Timberlands. Since I have particularly slim feet I happen to like the foot support, but beware that if you have wide feet, these boots won't fit you! Real size 9. No problem in terms of length. CONS: Slightly more rigid leather than the Timberlands and therefore less comfortable out of the box (particularly around the ankles) Slightly less arch support (but still excellent). CONCLUSION: I will keep both pairs. I'll keep the Timberland size 9, although they are definitely more of a size 8.5 than a size 9. My son's size 10 are better in therms of length but a bit loose, since I happen to have narrow feet (he has wider feet than me). Anyone with wide feet will definitely like the Timberlands over the Rockports. Ideally Timberland should offer these shoes in half size increments, since my impression is that they are half a size too small. Since the Timberlands are more comfortable and more casual, they will be my day-to-day shoes this winter. I'll also keep the Rockport and will wear them less frequently since they are slightly less comfortable. I'll keep them when I want to wear something slightly less casual than the Timberlands.

Great quality and perfect fit!
I usually buy Rockport shoes so I know the correct size/width for my feet with their product, and because of that it was easy to purchase the correct boot online. Fit perfect and are a great winter boot for the city. Nice winter tread on it too. UPDATE: I've worn them less than10 times and one of the leather hook straps at the back (to help you pull on your boots) has already ripped off when I used it to help pull my boot on. Not the greatest quality there.

Great boots
One of the best pair of boots I've ever owned. Comfy, warm in the winter but not too warm. They've also held up well bought a few seasons ago and they're still in great shape. Definitely recommend.
