Boots to last my lifetime

I wander through the puddles, I wander through the muck. I need some pretty boots to keep my feet from getting stuck. They should keep away the water, and keep me from a fall but most importantly, they should look fancy through it all. Seriously though, finding rubber boots, real made for life rubber boots, shouldn't be difficult. But strangely, it is. Until now that is. I have had many rain boots throughout my life, but never anything that I thought might be around longer than me and none of them were rubber boots. Most of them were plastic, shiny things that would crack, leak and make the strangest noise when I walked. When my last pair of wannabe's sprung a leak, I had enough and started looking for something better. These Western Chief boots caught my eye because of there fun flower design. Daisies are my favourite and purple is also my favourite. To my surprise they were actual, real rubber boots. I read the reviews and decided to order a pair, even though the price was a bit more than I expected. What's the worst that could happen? I just recieved them and as I walk around my livingroom I am pleased. Pleased enough to stop and write a review. One of the reviews stated that sizing was off. Although these are a bit on the big side for me, they don't slip off my feet. I am usually a 6.5 size and ordered a 7 due to the lack of half sizing. I am pretty used to that with boots so not really a big deal. I didn't order the 6 because I have a wide foot and leg and was concerned they might be tight. With these boots I have the space to wear decent socks and probably could put a winter liner in if I wanted. Another review indicated that the buckle was fake. It isn't. They come with the buckle inserted in the middle hole. There is one more hole to make them tighter around the leg and one to make them looser. All that is needed is to punch out the hole which is easy to do with a drill or a nail or scissors or any other cutting implement. Easy peasy. The sole design is good with no big spaces that gravel can get stuck in and not too small of gaps so there is no grip. Strange as it sounds, I am looking forward to putting these boots through the paces. I am not easy on my work gear but I have great expectations for these boots. They may very well be the boots to last my lifetime.
