I Love My Big Blue Ball
I first used one of these at physical therapy to stretch my abdominal muscles after surgery. I don’t remember the size of it, but I’m guessing it was 85cm. Lying over the ball was the only exercise/activity I found beneficial during therapy. After graduating from PT, I knew I had to have one. A friend gave me one (not the same brand I’m reviewing here) that he wasn’t using any longer. It was considerably smaller than 85cm and was slicker than a greased pig. The smaller size didn’t give me the abdominal stretch I needed, but it was free so I used it anyway. I was annoyed by its lack of rubber grip. It would slide on the floor and I would slide off of it if I weren’t careful. I ended up moving to a different state during this time and the undersized ball was accidentally packed away. This wasn’t ideal, as I used the ball every single day to manage chronic abdominal muscle discomfort from surgery. Frustrated, I set out to find a replacement that would give me the size and grip I wanted. After reading countless reviews on amazon, I narrowed my choice down to the j-fit 85cm Anti-Burst Gym Ball. At the time, it was the only one I found that definitely had a rubberized grip texture. I’m 5’10” and the large size gives me the stretch I need. I can’t find the papers that came with it, but I believe the chart said the 85cm was actually too large for someone my height. Keep in mind that I’m not using it to exercise with, per se, but it’s something for you to consider. I sometimes find myself just sitting on it because hey it’s a big blue bouncy ball. The texture is fantastic and keeps the ball gripped to the floor well, and also holds me on the ball like a championship rodeo cowboy. It also seems to have some thickness to it, which should help with durability. It has a strong feel to it. I can’t comment on its fully inflated size as others have, but I can tell you that the blue is a little lighter than the stock photo, if that matters to you. It had a slight scent to it at first, but disappeared quickly. It took a little while to inflate such a large size with the included hand pump, but most people probably realize this before purchasing. The ball was very tight at first, but I gave it time to stretch out and was able to add more air in a day or so. It definitely helped with the size of it. Just be patient with it. I paid about $33 dollars for this in October 2015. I could have gotten a different ball for cheaper, but not with the rubberized texture I was looking for. Also, I later found out I could use this to stretch my lower spine and sacrum region and it has provided a lot of relief for back pain. I would buy this again, but I would still check other products on amazon to see if there’s something better for cheaper out there. But overall, this has been a good quality purchase for me and I’m happy with it. TL;DR: Love the large size and rubberized texture. Grips the floor and a human very well. Great for stretching abs and back, but I don’t really use it for exercise. Is likely made from unicorn skin, but probably not the edible kind.

Great Exercise Ball
I use this ball to sit on while using my computer. My last ball recently popped, it was very large, so I needed a replacement. This ball has very high-quality, thick rubber(or some kind of plastic) and will not pop any time soon. It has a band that goes around it to tell you when to stop inflating, my ball didn't ever get that big, it has been 2 weeks. If the measuring tape is correct, the ball inflates to about 82cm. Plenty big to sit on. I had to use a different pump to inflate this ball with. When I need to make quick fills after the ball has stretched out, I use the low-quality pump that came with it. Comes with 2 plugs, they do not leak air until they are completely out of the ball. The color is a strange blue(if you look closely it is a mix of light blue, dark blue,and black all meshed together) wish it was black, but it is not too ugly, darker than in the picture, not green. Did not stink when I opened it, has absolutely no smell!!! I am very satisfied with this ball, it is worth the extra 5 bucks. UPDATE: Still very happy with this, great purchase. Has not changed color and hasn't lost much air (i fill it every 3 months to keep it firm). Very comfortable to sit on, perfect size. Still amazed it didn't smell horrible when I opened the package! Update 3-22-14: I accidentally popped my favorite chair last week! Good thing they are still up for sale! The anti-burst preformed perfectly, the ball just leaked slowly. This design probably saved me from landing on a knife... The new one is exactly the same as my last one...no odor...crappy pump...I have had to keep inflating it over time as it stretches to its full size. (btw, I am 6'1", and when the ball reaches full size, my knees sit comfortably parallel to my hips, as in a chair.) Update 10-13-15: Back in August, my second one popped. This was due to a manufacturer defect. There was a weak spot in the ball where the materiel was clearly thinner, so, after 1 1/2 years, it let loose. I immediately bought another, my 3rd. This one is made as well as the last 2, and without the defect of the second. The manufacturer has not cheapened the product at all. This one was great, until I dropped a knife near it. I thought the ball survived, but it let out a slow leak. I managed to find and patch the needle-sized whole with a small mountain of superglue, and the ball has been fine ever since. I will not change my habits of using knives for food and as a scissors in my office space, but, if you buy this ball, be aware that it does not take more than a tap from the knife to split the rubber. I am also going to add a picture now to show the color, but my picture looks a bit purple, in reality it is more blue than purple.

This ball is NOT burst proof and will TEAR and BUST easily !
I ordered this ball in February and it did not last 2 months and i contacted Customer Service and they are HORRIBLE to deal with, they were completely rude and made excuses that is was our fault and my only option was to purchase another ball at a discounted price, so I did and I was guaranteed it would last 10 years,here I am less than two months later again and have a ball that burst and is of NO use ! My son has autism and needs an exercise ball for sensory issues and therapy and this ball WAS NOT worth the cost. If the ball gets popped, burst or gets a hole in it, it CANNOT be patched in anyway, the material it is made out of is worse than a cheaper one because it continues to tear quickly. We had one that was purchased at Toys R Us for less than half the price that lasted 11 years before popping and was used almost daily. My son has allergies and the Ball has a very strong plastic smell and the pump included with the ball will take forever to air it up, you will have to use a different one if you want it aired up the same day and is difficult to air it up to the size is it is suppose to be! This product is NOT BURST or TEAR PROOF and is not worth the COST ! I am very disappointed in the product based on the claims stated about the quality ! The only thing I can say about it is it is blue, the color advertised. I rate this product NO STARS !
