Add tie wraps
I had the same issue as everyone else where the retaining ball would come out. It has been a few days since adding tie wraps to it (see image) and so far has held up. Also, if you are having an issue getting the ball back in, a flat pin punch helped. Probably would have given 3.5 if I could, definitely a design flaw.

Excellent Quality
I had purchased a Black Mountain resistance band combo package several years ago, and particular band was a favorite. Over time it became worn out and I was glad that Amazon had replacements at a fair price. I’m now back on my resistance band workout! ????

Pretty Good, But....
While I was able to use this when I was in a bind, it's been a couple of months or so and, well.... After continuous (and perhaps rigorous) use during that time (other than a vacation) it's already showing wear and tear. A small hole has already formed, and one or more are probably on the way.... I should expect better durability/sturdiness than that, especially for the price I paid. Tge makers could do better....

Okayish. Handle popped off after a few uses
The handle popped off after only a few uses. I put it back together and ziptied the end so the ball won't get squeezed back out. Hopefully that will solve the problem. It's one of the downfalls of this kind of equipment. However compared to others, the thickness is nice and quality seems of better material compared to others I've used that has actually snapped in the middle of the band.

BMP customer service is amazing!!!
This is the first review I write on Amazon and I have been using Amazon for years now. I purchased "Black Mountain Products Resistance Band Set with Door Anchor, Ankle Strap, Exercise Chart, and Resistance Band Carrying Case" In October of 2012. After three months of heavy use, "P90x program". The red band broke, the heaviest in the group. I called the customer service number and BMP replaced the band within three days. NO QUESTIONS ASKED, it was an incredibly easy process. I went on to break the red one again within a month I called again and once again NO ISSUE. During the conversation It was recommended that i needed heavier weight resistance. The guy included the heavier Orange band for FREE when he shipped the red band. I then purchased this Purple band. It has worked incredibly. The bands are legit, very durable I have used these bands pretty much every day for the last nine months. AND if you happen to break the band with "normal wear and tear" the staff at BMP is incredible and willing to work with you. NEED to know: this includes ONLY the band, I recommend getting the set it includes the lighter bands and the clips. You need the clips in order to use product. Great for programs like p90x and tapout Xtreme

Unexpected problems
D did order 2 of this bands, they arrive in time. on My first day I was using them for a leg extension on my bench and one of the band pop, more exactly the end of the band pop. so I did push the ball that is at the end and I restart my workout only to stop again when the other band end pop too. At that point I went to the hardware store got 4 small clamps, insert a small wood dowels and tight the clamps, I just di not wanted to deal with return or exchange

Does what you expect
I’ve been using Black Mountain bands for a few years. They work for me. They do wear over time if you step on them with shoes so I just wear socks. Make sure you buy the bands with the ends you want. Some have the handles on them so you can’t combine them with other bands. These have the small carabiners at the ends that I prefer.

It Broke the second time I used it
I've bought this twice before and as time goes by they naturally wear out and stretch. But this one broke the second time I used it. The ball holding the band and strap came out. It was under full tension, I'm lucky it didn't hit me in the face when it snapped back. I've lost my confidence in this item and will look for a more secure band.

Great Band!!!!
I've been using this band for over a month. Getting great results, no visible wear. Not five stars as Black Mountain bands don't label the weight on their bands. Have to refer to the guide from time to time to recall the weight when stacking.

Great product
I have used BMP resistance bands for my low impact workouts for about 4 years and have been very happy with the quality of the product. Over that time, I have pretty much worn out 2 kits of the 7 colour band sets (with 7 corresponding weight ratings) and the new bands have been very consistent in the resistance vs the old ones. I'm now replacing some individual bands to maintain a complete set. They are a good value for a varied weights program as they just need a small space with a few sturdy hooks on the wall and are also easily portable for use when travelling.

Really awesome! Love it! I bought the large set of the other bands by bmp. Very happy. I am using them right now on my trip. No need to leave my fan to achieve a SOLID workout. Wish I took elastics seriously before!
