I feel this sturdy base does exactly what its designed to do. Well designed.
I fiddled with a bunch of ideas for a mobile base for my 1970's manufactured heavy duty Sears Craftsman 6 x 48 belt/9" disc sander. I would guess this tool weighs about 100 lbs, much less than the rated capacity of this mobile base. From some of the reviews I was worried it wouldn't fit my long rectangle base. It's 30" on the long side but only about 16"-18" deep. It worked with no problems whatsoever in sizing. Supplied are 4 heavier "C": shaped drilled cross pieces and 4 drilled flats that fit inside the other pieces. 2 of each are longer. I added some PIC's. The instructions aren't great and I didn't really understand them until I experimented a little. I found the way to go is lay out your pieces on the floor beside your tool figuring out which ones you will be using. The steel supports are pretty strong but naturally you'll want the most strength on the long parts of a rectantangular base. If you can remove the tool from its stand installation is easy. Way too much work to remove my belt disc sander from the stand, so I did not. I slipped the corner plates under the corners and then laid our the steel cross pieces the way I wanted. I chose the 360 deg casters on the heaviest end of the unit since on retraction thee unit would sit firmly on the heavy duty adjustable foot pads. The fixed wheels on the lighter end. I wanted the base to sit as tightly as possible on the stand, so this became a challenge. Why? Well you have a heavy-0ish tool on the stand trying to put together a base that goes under each leg fitting as precisely as possible. The deeper into the corners you go with the steel cross braces the better for rigidity. Naturally the holes didn't line up just as I hoped. The instructions clearly say to give yourself an inch more on all 4 sides to accommodate the "fasteners". GOOD advice, but I wanted mine tighter. Doesn't really need to be, but . . . So I struggled a bit from leg to leg using the thinner bolt head on the inside close to the legs and the nut on the outside. Opposite of instructions, but only one per corner on the long side. On the short side I didn't run the steel supports beyond the leg. PLENTY sturdy. In the middle of the supports I found as long as you have 2 holes/bolts and nuts its plenty rigid. Best use your length into the corners were the weight is I think. DON'T TIGHTEN all your body/nuts as you assemble. Fit is kinda loosely until your sure its right. Can be challenging with a heavy toll on top. I supported each corner with small 2x4's so I could get the fixed wheels on. They are a little difficult. Wouldn't be at all without a heavy tool on top. DON'T FORGET the nylon spacer for the fixed wheels! It helps space it inside the fixed wheel channel so it doesn't move as much. I also put a flat washer in there as well opposite the spacer. Sorry for the long review, but if you think it thru AHEAD of time you will find this a fun project with a very good outcome. I don't know how that one guy bent his lift cam lever. Either he didn't install it properly, or had way too much weight. These folks make a heavier duty one than this. I have lots of tools i'd like mob ice, but none to heavy this wouldn't work.

Well made, Terrible instructions/assembly design
Basically, I think this is a well made base. Though I haven't actually put weight on it yet. I can't say whether it's up to its 400 lb capacity. I think its weakest part will be the swiveling casters. They have to handle a good bit of leverage when you're using the cam levers to lower the base off the casters onto the fixed supports. They knew that though and the caster bolts are 10mm - vs all the others being 6mm. The instructions and parts are confusing though. For example, one of the front wheel assembly pivot bolts is referred to as an m6-57 and also as an m6-6. So 6cm = 57mm I guess?? The parts counts in the manual do not match with the parts in the box. The bolt/nut counts just don't add up. FORTUNATELY there were just (exactly) enough parts to make a sensible assembly of the thing. It would have been nice if they included a few extra because you could make this thing stronger with a few more m6 10mm nuts and bolts. The worst part of the instructions is for the rear (fixed angle) wheels. Not the casters. The diagram does not make it clear where the plastic bushings are supposed to go. It only shows 2 of them in the assembly - though four are provided. And it's not clear where they would have any function. The manual also says to be careful not to tighten those bolts too much or else the wheels won't spin freely. If you assemble the thing as pictured on the box, there is no possible way to tighten those bolts in a way that will tighten the wheels. The wheels are free spinning inside the rear rectangles. So ?? And, as far as I can see , the bushings serve no function at all no matter where you put them. So ?. This has a 400 lb rating. Is that if you assemble it at the maximum spec'd size? Or is that if you assemble at the minimum (where the bars and corners have maximum overlap. ?? If so, what's the rating at maximum size? You might buy this and have a safety issue if that's not stated and it is less than 400.

So nice to have wheels!
I was so tired of man handling our job mate bench that has our compound mitre saw attached, to move. When I saw this rolling base I was excited. I must say I was disappointed in the instructions for the assembly, hence the low scoring. It is nice to have a list of the parts, showing the counts of the items, the names and the sizes of the bolts, these did not. These instructions were very vague and frankly hard to follow. It wasn't until I went on YouTube to watch a video that it all seemed to make better sense. I must say I like how the base is very adjustable to almost any size. The wheels roll nicely and it is very sturdy. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it for sure.

Manual/User guide is poor in directions how to put the item together
You have to know how to put things together, manual is poor in directions and drawings are not clear. I would of give it 5 stars, but that assembly documentation in this case is important. The product is fine. I would give it excellent but the paint around the nut was starting to break, not scratch. Giving 3 star because the hardware is sturdy. See how it handles in time.

Three Stars
Not as sturdy as the GENERAL model. Somewhat tippy with a bandsaw. The aluminum arms that are used to lower the wheels and raise the stand are tight and hard to push because of the angle. The "step on" kind like the General model is much better. Also, because my bandsaw has a footbrake, so I had to mount one of these arms on an outside axis which increases the difficulty in lowering the wheels.

Strong and super easy to roll
Strong and reliable. I am putting my washer on it and it holds it place like rock (with full load). Very easy to assemble (less than 30 mins). Wheels make it easy for you to move your heavy loads.
