A quality flag

This flag is well constructed, with a comfortable handgrip. It is on the larger end of approved flag sizes for volleyball. I have had no problems to date with either the flags or carrying case.

The flag broke in less than two months

Except for how the flag is held in place, the flag is OK. Unfortunately, it's useless if the flag doesn't stay in place. In less than two months, the girls broke the metal flag connector. It is rather flimsy, and it wasn't repairable. To fix it, I had to add shrink tubing to the end of the flag to hold it in place.

Flag material kind of wrinkles like paper

Flag material kind of wrinkles like paper and is surprisingly difficult to ‘wrap’, roll-up. That said golf club grips are perfect but again you can see the paper-like wrinkles in accompanying pic. It might burn(?) if I considered ironing flags? ???? Still giving 4 stars because a larger flag for volleyball was needed and I received the dimensions as advertised.

Great set of flags.

Great weight and size. The only drawback is that there isn't anything that keeps the flag from spinning so that it's easier to roll up and put away.

I really like the golf grips

This is actually Denise's husband Tony writing this review. This is my second set of Mikasa flags I have purchased as my last set broke. They broke not because of the quality of these flags but because the girls playing around with them at a tournament pulled the flag off the rod. As I have expanded my officiating I probably used these flags 200 matches a year and as long as I can keep the girls from treating the flags as toys, I am sure they will last for many years. My first set lasted 4 years and as I mentioned, only broke because they were literally pulled apart. I really like the golf grips. They are easy to hold and I am sure the flag will not fly out of my hands when I make a call unlike the flags with wood handles. I know these flags cost a bit more than other flags on the market, but as they say, you get what you pay for and these flags are extremely well made. As for the flags being a bit bigger so they don't fit into a backpack, my backpack has a strap on the side right above the mesh pocket to hold a drink. I strap my flags on the side of my backpack, not inside and it works out great.

Does the job

Was tired of schools and gyms not having flags and as I do lines for College games I decided to buy a pair for myself. Work well, nice grip, jeepers, it's a flag, hard to go wrong.
