Great Scale & Wonderful Value

I bought this scale a couple weeks ago as I was beginning a low calorie diet. Using this scale to count calories has been a walk in the park, and the Tare feature is a real plus. This has personally been an invaluable tool, and I use it a LOT, and would not be without it now. (Haven't used the timer but that's a nice added feature to have when I need it). It's very attractive, and looks nice on the kitchen counter. It has four different weight measurements, (lbs, oz, g, and kg), and seems to be extremely accurate. It will even weigh a napkin! I started to purchase a different brand, but I liked the fact that this uses AAA batteries versus the expensive lithium batteries the other brand I was looking at uses. Then after reading many of the other reviews on this item prior to purchasing, it was an easy choice. Overall I am very happy with this product, and would highly reccommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced but attractive and quality kitchen scale. As an added and unexpected bonus, this morning I received an email from Ozeri thanking me for my purchase and offering me their Electric Pepper Mill & Grinder at NO ADDITIONAL COST - not even a shipping fee. (The peppermill grinder currently sells for $25 on amazon). So for $20, I received the kitchen scale and the peppermill grinder, which by the way, was also highly rated. I don't know how anyone could top that unbelievable value. I'm not sure if everyone who purchases the scale is offered the free peppermill grinder or if this is just a temporary promotion, but even without the grinder, I believe the kitchen scale is a great value on its own merit, and would highly reccommend it to anyone.

Excellent idea for dieting and mailing needs

I especially like the look and design of this scale, it fits in any contemporary kitchen setting. I used it from my dorm, to my apartment, and at my parents house. No matter where it is, it doesn't look out of place. The metal finish makes it really easy to clean up, and the batteries have never been replaced since I've owned it (for about 3 years!). I use this all the time for stuff in the kitchen and mailing things. It works fine no matter what you are measuring. Just make sure to tare the object that its weighing before adding anything to the scale. I measure everything for MyFitnessPal, and it comes especially handy when you don't have any measuring cups/spoons on hand. I mail packages all the time with it. It turns out it is extremely accurate with the ounces, comparable to a post office scale. Most definitely it has saved me a few bucks in shipping, as I could modify the weight of the packaging before I went to the post office for maximum value. Overall, I would definitely recommend this durable scale. It has stood the test of time, and given the opportunity I would not hesitate to purchase this again.

this product is everything I imagined!

I've wanted a digital scale for my kitchen for a long time but never took the time or effort to hunt for one. This popped into my email as a special so I ordered it. I had a lot of fun playing with it. I even weighed it's pamphlet that came with it. (.65 oz) Also enclosed was a Calorie Guide booklet. This scale even has a timer built in! But what's really cool, which may not be a big deal to those who already own a digital scale, is the TARE feature. This Tare feature will automatically subtract the weight of your bowl or dish and determine the weight of the actual ingredients you are weighing. I think that will be very handy. I recently purchased some bulk ground beef and divided it up in one pound packages to freeze. This was actually fun!! I am really enjoying this purchase and I'm glad that I bought it. Also, I have dealt with this small company in the past and they do an outstanding job on customer service so if you have any issues I'm sure you won't have any problems getting them resolved! Wow! & a Free gift to boot!

My first scale & so far it's the most functional & easy to operate little gadget I have in my kitchen. I have several friends who have a kitchen scale & watching them use theirs seem to be more of a hassle than its worth which is why I never had the urge to get one. Unfortunately I had an issue with a dish & it was all due to not having the correct weight, hence why I bought one. After much research & review readings I decided to roll the dice & extremely happy with the result. I could go on & on, but seriously people, those that are dissing the 'plastic'...it's a lot sturdier than you think. And as an added bonus, Ozeri offered to ship me for free a free electric pepper grinder & I haven't even fully tested the scale yet which is why I haven't done the review at that time & I told them so, yet they sent it. I love fresh grinde pepper & have tons of them but they all fail me which is why I keep buying news ones hoping to find one that I can stick with. Folks, I believe I have found that grinder!

Accurate Scale

I read many reviews before I made this purchase. I googled and this Ozerri scale came up in the top 10. I'm on Atkins and needed to start weighing all my food to track. The glass top is removable and very easy to clean. Scale is super accurate. The display is easy to read. You can weigh in grams, ounces, pounds and kilograms. It has the rare feature. Weight the container before filling with your food. Then hit the button, it will zero out so your food can now be weighed accurately. I also love that the scale will shut off automatically within a couple if minutes. This scale is also great for use in baking. The scale also comes with the batteries. Why spend $50 -$75 when you can purchase a scale if equal quality for less

A must for any kitchen!

I love this scale! It is useful for both food and household items like mail. It is very compact and lightweight, but holds up to 12 lbs and measures accurately. The scale features an attractive design which will blend into any kitchen. It takes only two common sized batteries so you'll never be without this scale. The digital display is very large and clear, easy to read. It has multiple functions as well, such as alarm which can function as a cooking timer! It works great, is well made, and very useful. I would highly recommend this scale!

Perfect scales, after a long search

What a relief to find these scales. When my very old, cheap ones broke (I did drop them on a hard floor!), I had to dash to a local hardware store as I was in the middle of baking. The replacement set were a disaster, as they kept switching off whilst weighing things, leaving me wondering how much of something I had added (whilst adding multiple ingredients to the same bowl). So when looking for a better set, this was what I most wanted to avoid. To my horror, after reading reviews of loads of scales on Amazon, most seemed to have a few reviewers complaining of this. So when I found these, with an advertised 3 minute cut-off, I was delighted, especially as they are somewhat cheaper than most I was looking at (in the belief that you get what you pay for). I ordered these and they arrived quickly. They are perfect... easy to switch on, clear to read, easy to change units, they don't switch off mid-weighing, they take a large mixing bowl on top... Exactly what I needed. (I don't need the timer, so have not tested this yet.) These are excellent kitchen scales and incredibly good value.

So easy to use.

I bake my own bread and was beginning to wonder if all flour was sold in short measures. A 2 kg bag of flour should produce 4 x 500 gm loaves, but my 4th loaf was always short. So I bought one of these great little scales and yep my old scales were understating the weight. It did not make much difference to the bread but I got a full 4th loaf out of the flour. The scales are unobtrusive, look good, work exceptionally well, weigh accurately, allow for any container weight with the press of a button - excellent. The scales arrived promptly and within five minutes of arrival were in use. Great scales, great service.

Overall good scale

The scale arrived quickly and well packaged. I am a home brewer and picked this up for weighing my specialty malts and hops. The scale is very accurate and works well. My only complaint is that when it is in pounds mode it reads in pounds and decimals of pounds instead of pounds/ounces. I’ll just have to use it in the ounce mode and do the math. Also I do like the time that’s built in.
