Old time company from a long time ago

Nicely made.comfortable on platform.stable on wood floor.when I first got it I tried to weigh a 10 lb dumbbell and a 2 lb dumbbell and didn't work so I was going to return it but next day I put the dumbbells vertical one on each side and got a reading 12lbs 2 oz.10lb dumbbell and 2lb dumbbell which had cover over the metal that's why 2oz more.the scale was accurate.when you weigh yourself it didn't beep so after a couple of seconds reading was there. step on it it turns on finished and turns off automatically. the reason the dumbbells didn't work on the scale the first was i put them on horizontal vertical like your feet you get a reading.

Love this scale! (But just edited my review to go from 5 to 3 stars because battery doesn't last!)

I left my job of 21 years (in the middle of a pandemic--don't ask, that's another whole story!) and, in doing so, I also left access to this doctor's scale we had there, which I used to weigh myself for that entire time. I loved that scale. It was a "Detecto" brand, and I made a note of that before I left work, as I wanted to get one for my home. The doctor's scale model turned out to be far too expensive, so I ordered this little home/bathroom scale model instead. I love it! I love the sleek, slim, stainless steel design, it seems to be very accurate, and now I have my own little Detecto scale. The only thing that is not ideal is that the read=out is black on charcoal gray, so it is a tad hard to read, especially in low light. It wouldn't be ideal for someone with low vision. But other than that, it is perfect! I'm so glad I bought it. P.S. Update: I'm downgrading my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars because, after only 11 months, the battery gave out! Instead of reading my weight, it read "lo", and the little pamphlet that came with it says that means I have to replace the battery, which is a tiny, lithium battery that I'm not even sure how to replace, but I'll figure it out. However, it says on line that lithium batteries should last like 10 YEARS, not 11 months. NOT happy about the battery needing to be replaced in less than a year. I hope the replacement isn't too expensive and/or hard to find. Dang.

It works as expected

Easy to read with large numbers. I like the way the weight"locks in" once it is measured. It is s scale. It measures weight. It works. More accurate than the unit we replaced.

Glass and stainless steel scale- FYI

The description is a bit misleading. They make it seem as if it's all stainless steel and no glass. I didnt want a glass scale, upon reading multiple negative reviews on glass scales. This scale is both glass and stainless steel. But it's a stainless steel sheet on top of glass. I was close to returning it, but decided to just give a shot. So far so good. I gave it 3 stars just because it's not exactly what I wanted. Looks nice though.

My 60 pound dog came flying into the scale and shoved it into the bathtub and the one I purchased from Bed Bath and beyond shattered, I was so happy to see on Amazon I bought this one and it was just a bit less expensive. I love this scale.

MADE IN CHINA

THIS PRODUCT IS NOT MADE IN USA AS IT CLAIMS IT IS MADE IN CHINA. Would've liked a backlight on the display. Otherwise 100% adaquate, looks nice feels nice.

Decent mid grade scale

Decent scale, no issues. Seems to read fairly consistently, although not as good as a professional grade Seca. Only real quirk is, you can’t just tap it to activate. You really have to step on it to turn it on.
