Best pastry frame ever - but don't shrink the cloth!
I've purchased these over the years and the last one was to give as a gift to a friend that likes to make bread. I usually scrap the cloth between sessions with the back of a spatula. When it's time to wash, use cold or warm water and then immediately stretch it on its frame and let it dry -- otherwise you may not get it back on the frame.

I have had a pastry frame for many years. Just needed a new one. Thrilled when I saw I could still get a new one. It is great for any pastry or gingerbread or cookie dough you roll out.

I make very thin sugar cookies and this pastry cloth/rolling pin cover makes it possible!
I wish I could just buy the pastry cloth/rolling pin cover and not have to buy the frame. It doesn’t work on my new granite countertop and I already have 5 of them!

Great item once you get the hang of setting it up!!
I used this for the first time today and I had terrific results. God bless the Amazon question-answerer who explained in their answer that the end of the metal frame that has the little bent part is supposed to hook over the edge of the table, because I would not have figured that out on my own. Once I prepared the cloth with flour, it was very easy to use and my pie crust turned out great. Previously I had been using a silicone mat to roll out my pastry and this cloth was much easier for me to use. Love it!! Editing this - after every use, I stored this cloth & rolling pin cover in a bag in my freezer. Finally after many uses, it was time to wash it. Rather than actually reading the directions that came with the pastry cloth, I googled and got some bad information. After shaking out all the excess flour and scraping off any stuck-on dough, I washed it in the machine in cold water with no detergent, and this thing shrunk up on me BIG TIME. Even with cold water and no dryer at all!! I thought it would be best to dry it stretched out on the frame, and It took two people to stretch it to fit onto the frame. And the cloth was so woefully shrunken that once we managed to cram it back onto the frame, the fame was really twisted. So I manually stretched it as well as I could, and am weighing it down with heavy books as it dries, and I hope it recovers. So please learn from my mistake. Hand wash this, because even cold water in a machine could shrink this cloth badly.

Slides, does not stick to counter too
I bought this to replace old one that is tearing. It will not stick to counter top. I put the old $5 one under this new one to keep it from sliding. That is sad. You think a US brand could stand up to it's cheap competitors.

Overall, a good product!
This review is for the non-slip mat, not the cloth mat (as some of the reviews in this section are).. While it is NOT non-slip—mine slid all over the place, even on my wood tabletop—it’s still a quality mat, and I love that it is made in the USA. It provided the surface I needed to roll out cookie dough. I imagine the measurements would be very helpful for making a pie crust or pizza! I wish it were dishwasher safe as it is so large water splashed around the sink while washing by hand. Overall, a good product!

It's a reasonable copy of Foley's pastry frame, but it has a problem: the wooden pieces
The wooden pieces are VERY difficult to fit into the metal sides. That's a real pain because you have to remove them after you are done rolling your pastry and then struggle every time you want to use the frame again. My Foley Pastry Frame did not have this problem.
