Will not work for a 4 inch clean out pipe! Product is fine otherwise.

If you are planning to replace the cleanout adapter on your 4 inch sewage cleanout pipe, do not buy this. This product is meant to connect to a clean out pipe with a coupling, which is not what I wanted. Instead buy a 4-in x 4-in Female x Hub Schedule 40 Adapter (search your local hardware store) like in the picture on the left. The one on the right is this product and you can see the difference in the size of the portion meant to connect to a clean out pipe. Otherwise, this product is good quality and if you were planning to use with a coupling anyway, should work fine. Don't make the same mistake I did and assume it will easily connect directly to the 4 inch pipe.

Good product

This is a good product and seems well made. However it does not fit 4" sewer clean out line. The walls of that pipe are 1/2 inch thick. Having trouble finding one to fit.

This fits 4" sewer and drain pipe. It has nice threads and the cap goes on and off easily.

Thin wall Garbage

If nothing ever impacts this fitting, it would be ok for several years. But if anything hits it you've got a 4 hour job fixing it. PVC becomes brittle after just a couple years so being So Thin, it's useless for my lawn application. I never build with such cheap materials because I know it's another repair waiting for me later. See the comparison of the old one on the left

Does NOT connect to 4" PVC

I thought from the description that this would connect to a 4" PVC pipe. It doesn't at all - it's the same size, not bigger as it would need to be for a 4" female adapter. Should be clear in the description, but IMO it isn't.
