this was an opened product

This was an already opened product and one of the tests were gone. it appears to work but the handle was broken and the zip tie was cut. I bought extra regents so I'll be fine just did not expect this on an item like this. its new so ill have to see that all is fine with the product for now only 3 stars

So far so good.

Got this because I was tired of the testing strips and the guesswork. I looked at the Taylor kits but they were back order and expensive. Additionally, with the Taylor, my pool service guys use them and they are very finicky and often don't work. So I tried these and after a couple of uses they seem to be pretty good. There is a bit of a learning curve but I'm getting the hang of it which should make testing my water much quicker. My initial impression is it's pretty good and I like the actual reading that you get from the digital tester. My service guys come every other week so I'm hoping to run this at the same time they run their test so I can compare the accuracy with the Taylor tester. I might actually take a sample to the local pool store to see how it stacks up. If I find that this kit isn't as accurate I'll update my review.

Read the contents of the package carefully to get what you expect

Seems to work fine but did not get all the test kits I needed. What is listed in the header is incorrect. The photo of the product and test kits is accurate. Had to turn around and order additional test kits to get what I needed it for and this made the purchase more expensive than from alternatives I was looking at.

Cutomer support is the best.

We just resurfaced our pool with Pebble Sheen, a costly process and we want to avoid staining from the copper in our heater. Keeping the pool at correct chemical levels is important and this kit is the best on the market. This kit was recommended to me by mys son who takes care of his own pool and has become quite knowledgeable on the subject of pool water chemistry. The kit is not as easy to use as test strips but, it is far more accurate for those who really want to keep their pool water at the correct levels and avoid stains and algae. An added bonus is the great customer care from Joni at K-Exact. If you have any problems, she is there to help and will take you concerns very seriously.

Also False CYA Readings

This reader does a great job on things like alkalinity and ph, but consistently says cyanuric acid is hi. I recently had the pool drained and acid washed to remove all traces of cyanuric acid so I should be getting low readings. I compared the unit to two different strip tests--both of which indicated the cya was low. Am considering returning it before the window closes as I need accurate cya readings.

Easy to use for the most part. I’m still trying to figure out the total chlorine. And you’ll need to buy the salt tester and seringe separately.

Accuracy of Values

I purchased this item to be able to have a more precise measurement of pool values. This is a ANSI/NF certified system which speaks to its ability to record accurate results. Recently, I measured CYN which showed a value of 32. I then took to local pool store to compare results. Most values were close but CYN at the pool store showed 20. I am now going to stay with my system measurement and not local pool store.

Works just as well as Drop based test kits! And much easier to read!

Bought this kit because I was tired of playing the color match game using Drop Test kits like Taylor. I'm not color blind but for some reason when I use drop test kits I find it very hard to determine the results. I bought this kit to eliminate that issue and it has worked very well. The results are in line with Taylor drop kits and so much easier to read since it provides an actual number. No color match guessing! Before purchasing I did some research and this kit stood out because of the NSF L1/L2 certifications and price. Make sure to follow directions precisely!

So easy and so accurate

Just amazing. I could not handle the guessing game of pool strips anymore. This has fully solved my problem! It works amazing, better than pool store even, as demonstrated by measuring calibration agents.
